Boy Meets World premiered on September 24, 1993, and immediately found a place in the hearts of millions of fans. The show started with Cory, Topanga and Shawn in just sixth grade and followed them and the rest of their friends and family through their college years. In the 7 seasons alone, the younger role went from children to adults.
The Boy Meets World the cast has continued to grow and evolve over the past 27 years. They got married, booked exciting roles and many of the cast repeated theirs Boy Meets World characters in spinoff Girl meets the world. However, for the successful “Boy Meets Pod” podcast with Danielle Fishel, Rider Strong and Will Friedle, Ben Savage did not return, and the main cast have been vocal about his distance from the group.

Ben Savage
Ben Savage starred as the one and only Cory Matthews throughout the show’s 7 seasons. After Boy Meets WorldBen took a break from acting and attended Stanford University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in political science. He has had a number of guest-starring son shows such as Bones, Without a Traceand Chuck. He directed the 2017 independent film Palo Alto. On both Criminal minds and HomelandBen played the younger versions of Mandy Patinkins sign. Ben returned to the role of Cory in the Disney Channel series girl meets world which ended in 2017 after 3 seasons. Ben ended up getting married Tessa Angermeier in 2023.
Danielle Fishel
Topanga Lawrence-Matthews is still so near and dear to our hearts, and rightly so Danielle Fishel39. The following Boy Meets WorldDanielle leaned more into hosting. She was the host The dish for Style Network and MSN TVs Last night on tv. She was also a correspondent for The Tyra Banks Show. She graduated from California State University, Fullerton in 2013. Danielle reprized her role as Topanga on Girl meets the worldalong with Ben and many of her others BMW co-stars. Danielle got married Jensen Karp in 2018, and since then they have welcomed two sons – Adler Lawrence and Keaton Joseph.
Rider Strong
Rider Strong starred as the beloved Shawn Hunter in all 7 seasons. After the show ended, Rider notably starred in the 2002 horror film Cabin fever. He also voiced the role of Brick Flagg Kim Possible. He has had a number of film and television roles over the years, including guest spots Bones and Veronica Mars. He reprized the role of Shawn on Girl meets the world and directed some of the series’ episodes. The actor graduated from Columbia University in 2004 with a major in English and earned his master’s degree in 2009 from Bennington College. Rider married to actress Alexandra Barreto in 2013. Their son, Indywas born in 2014.
Will Friedle
There was no TV character like Eric Matthews, and that’s thanks Will Friedle. Will has become a prominent voice actor since Boy Meets World. He voiced the role of Ron Stopable in the Disney Channel series Kim Possibleas well as Terry McGinnis/Batman i Batman BeyondDeadpool in Ultimate Spider-Manand Star-Lord in the animated version of Guardians of the Galaxy. He appeared as Eric again in 4 episodes of Girl meets the world. Willing to marry boyfriend Susan Martens in 2016.
Matthew Lawrence
Matthew Lawrence joined the cast Boy Meets World in season 5 and became an instant fan favorite. After Boy Meets WorldMatthew co-starred with Rachel McAdams in the 2002 film The Hot Chick. He also starred alongside his brothers, Joey and Andy, in the 2001 TV movie jumping ship. He has appeared in several films and TV series over the years. He even guest-starred on his brother Joey’s sitcom, Melissa and Joey. Matthew appeared as Jack in an episode of Girl meets the world. He got married DWTS pro Cheryl Burke in 2019, but they divorced in 2022. He later started dating Rozanda “Chilli” Thomas.
Betsy Randle
Betsy Randle played the mother of Eric and Cory during the show’s run. She went on to play Mrs. Winterbourne in 4 episodes of Charmed. She reprized the role of Amy Matthews in 3 episodes of Girl meets the world. In the last two years, Betsy has appeared in two films: To the Beat!: Back 2 School and My little girl is gone. She lives in California with her family.
William Daniels
There is only one Mr. Feeny and only one William Daniels. The iconic actor has appeared in many TV shows since Boy Meets World came to an end. He was reunited with co-star Will Friedle in an episode of Kim Possible in 2004. He also guested Scrubs, The closer, Boston Legaland more. William played Mr. Craig Thomas, a mentor to Cristina Yang, in 5 episodes of Grey’s Anatomy. His most recent role was playing Mr. Feeny again Girl meets the world in episodes during the show’s 3-year run. William published his memoirs, There I Go Again: How I Came to Be Mr. Feeny, John Adams, Dr. Craig, KITT and many othersin 2017. Williams has been married to Bonnie Bartlett since 1951.
Trina McGee
Trina McGee played Shawn Hunter’s on-again, off-again girlfriend Angela Moore starting in season 5. Following Boy Meets WorldTrina appeared on shows like So little time, The Hughleys, and more. She guest starred as Angela on Girl meets the world in 2015. Her most recent roles have been in the 2016 films LAPD African officers and Sins of the guilty. In January 2020, Trina opened up about her experience on the set of Boy Meets World. Trina said she was called “Aunt Jemima” on set and revealed that Will Friedle apologized for the inappropriate comment then and again today.
Maitland Ward
Maitland Ward began playing Rachel McGuire in season 6 of Boy Meets World. When the show ended in 2000, Maitland continued as a guest star Boston Public, Out of practiceand Rules of engagement. She played Brittany Wilson in the 2004 comedy White Chickens. Maitland is now a full-time adult film star.
William Russ
William Russ played Alan Matthews, Cory and Eric’s father Boy Meets World. Since the show ended, William has appeared in a number of well-known shows such as Boston Legal, The young & the restless, 90210, Scandaland more. He reprized the role of Alan Matthews Girl meets the world. William recently played Chuck in the hit series 9-1-1 in 2019. William is married to Clare Wrenand together they have welcomed two children.
