Pokemon black and white is easily one of my favorite posts of all Pokémon series. While it may not be the best game overall, it is definitely one of them the most unique titles in the franchisegiven the US-inspired setting and the sensational injection of over 150 new Pokémon. It almost felt like a new series, which was a polarizing concept at the time, but has aged well as the generations roll on.
Plus, the idea of visiting the same region at a later date and witnessing the changes in Black and white 2 was a treat. It felt like another anime season follow-up in a way, and post-game by Black and white 2 is fantastic.
There are many reasons to love Gen 5, and we’ll have another excuse to revisit the series soon enough. Thanks to a list from BigBadToyStoreit is important to Pokémon Black and White fans are marking their calendars for 2027.
Estimated to arrive in January 2027, Kotobukiya is releasing a figure for Hilda (with Tepig) through their ArtFX J line. It’s a nice recreation of Black and white heroine who has appeared in all kinds of cross-media campaigns, including Smash Bros (as a costume for the trainer), Pokémon Masters EXand the trading card game. She is typically seen with a Tepig, which is included in this special release.
Here’s the quick summary of why this design is so special: “Based on an original illustration by Hitoshi Ariga, the female protagonist of Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version, Hilda, is here! Her fluffy ponytail and sporty outfit have all been faithfully recreated, capturing not only her charm, but also her energetic spirit.”
That said, the price is also specialized to boot. The BTS Mint edition is priced at $123.99 and the BBTS Mint Pro version is $132.99. While statues and figurines have sold for a much higher price in the past, this one is nothing to sneeze at for casual collectors. For reference, the $119.99 substandard edition is sold out.
Standing at 8.1 inches tall, it is a 1/8 scale model made of ABS and PVC and is non-articulated. You get the Hilda figure as well as Tepig and the base.
If you are a fan of Pokémon and haven’t played Black and white but now is a decent time if you can get your hands on the original games. In a perfect world, The Pokémon Company will get a remake going at some point, because Unova deserves to be revisited.
