Unsurprisingly, the photo quickly gained attention online, receiving more than 8 million views and 85,000 likes. The snap was released by the White House amidst the hype surrounding the game GTA 6 as its release date approaches.

A recent photo of the US president edited to look like a poster from the fan-favorite video game’s upcoming installment has gone viral online.
Shared by the White House on X (formerly Twitter)read the caption: “We really saved America before GTA 6.” The post comes amid Rockstar Games’ announcement that pre-orders for GTA 6 will open on June 25.
Instead of Grand Theft Auto VI, the image’s title reads “Make America Great Again,” along with the number 47. This refers to Donald Trump as the 47th president.
The meme shows glimpses of Trump in various settings. He can be seen walking outside the White House, working at his desk, saluting the American flag and more. Other depictions show a B-2 Stealth Bomber, Air Force One, a black vehicle, the White House and the Washington Monument with a helicopter.
The color theme of the image is purple and pink, similar to a GTA 6 poster. With the caption, the White House joined the long-standing joke in which the Internet records important moments that took place before the release of GTA 6. It mainly stemmed from the gap between the release of GTA 5 and the upcoming GTA 6.
Meanwhile, netizens had mixed reactions to the White House’s GTA 6 meme featuring Donald Trump. An X user joked about the photo, commenting, “We had the White House make memes about GTA 6 before GTA 6.” Another user wrote”You guys are just going to destroy EVERYTHING aren’t you?”
In addition, one third user took a dig at the Trump administration. They wrote: “Most MAGA probably don’t know about or have never played GTA6. At least we know what the idiot posting this crap does during his working hours.”
In particular, Rockstar Games announced recently pre-order start date for GTA 6. The game officially launches on November 19.
