Each Survivor winner ranked from worst to best

Since the first episode of the show aired, I have loved discussing all things related Jeff Probst and Survivor. As a result, I have written articles about the best seasons for new fans to watch firstand I have ranked every season ever.

Like most Survivor superfans, I love debating who the best winners are. However, I have decided to go a step further than that with this article by ranking each Survivor winner ever.

Top 3 Survivor Winners according to a superfan

Participant

season(s)

Tony Vlachos

Survivor: Cagayan (28)/Survivor: Winners at War (40)

8 (C) & 12 (WaW)

1 (C) & 4 (WaW)

Sandra Diaz-Twine

Survivor: The Pearl Islands (7)/Survivor: Heroes vs Villains (20)

6 (PI) & 6 (HvV)

1 (PI) & 3 (HvV)

John Cochran

Chris Underwood

Survivor: Edge Of Extinction (Season 38)

Like many other fans, I think Chris Underwood is the worst Survivor winner ever. After all, Chris was the third player to be voted out Survivor: Edge Of Extinction and he left the game for more than three weeks. In the end, Chris only played the game for thirteen days, when he spent 26 days on the Edge of Extinction. The fact that he was voted the season’s winner despite that is ridiculous.

Bob Crowley

Survivor: Gabon (season 17)

Even though Bob Crowley seems like a lovable guy, that doesn’t mean I don’t recognize the fact that he is one of the worst Survivor winners ever. The main reason why Bob is so bad Survivor the winner is really simple. All the way through Survivor: Gabonit often seemed like Bob didn’t understand what was going on.

Ben Driebergen

Survivor: Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers (Season 35)

Conspiracy theories aside, Ben Driebergen’s game depended on immunity idols and the sudden introduction of the final four fire-making challenge. I think Ben is a weakling Survivor wins the page he was so dependent on lucky breaks throughout his season.

Mike Holloway

Survivor: Worlds Apart (Season 30)

Mike Holloway made the confusing decision stick his whole tribe in the back before them to try to gain an advantage. Then he got cold feet and gave in, then he never even got the benefit. After infuriating his entire tribe and getting nothing for it, Mike had to go on an all-time immunity streak to win. This series of events is exactly why I rank Mike so low on my list.

Jenna Morasca

Survivor: The Amazon (Season 6)

To Jenna’s credit, she won Immunity four times, which was impressive. But the fact that Jenna ostracized so many of her tribemates for non-strategic reasons revealed how weak her game was. If she wasn’t sitting next to such an off-putting person during the last tribal council, Jenna probably would have lost.

This was the scariest moment in ‘Survivor’ history for Jeff Probst

Jeff Probst was horrified during one of the most intense ‘Survivor’ moments ever.

Tommy Sheehan

Survivor: Island of the Idols (Season 39)

The jury’s votes won:

It’s not Tommy Sheehan’s fault, of course he won the worst season of Survivor ever. However, it does mean that Tommy prevailed in a season with so many easy-to-hate players he could cost on a mediocre winning play and still win.

Mike Gabler

Survivor 43

The jury’s votes won:

Jury votes lost:

All the way through Survivor 43there were several scenes that made it seem pretty clear Mike Gabler had a limited understanding of the game. Although it’s great Gabler went through with donating his prize moneyseam People reported, it has nothing to do with the quality of his victory. For that reason I’m still not impressed with Mike’s win.

Amber Brkich Mariano

Survivor: All-Stars (season 8)

The jury’s votes won:

All the way through Survivor: All-Stars, Rob Mariano appeared to take the lead in pretty much everything. As a result Amber Brkich Mariano won the season when the jury was so mad at Rob. Some might argue that Amber was smart to get Rob to take the slings and arrowsand there is some truth in that. However, it is a fact Amber won by default.

The Worst Survivor Twists

From hourglasses to do or die, I think these were definitely the worst ‘Survivor’ twists

Survivor is a great show that has had some truly horrific twists and turns over the years.

Danni Boatwright

Survivor: Guatemala (season 11)

The jury’s votes won:

During her season, Danni Boatwright notoriously refused to reveal what she was up to on the camera. As a result, it is difficult to gauge how strong or weak her game really was. In the end, I had to place Danni in the bottom row of this list because the winners ranked above her revealed stronger games to the world.
