The paper coming back!
Peacock revealed that the show is returning September 9along with delivering first look photos for Season 2 on Thursday (June 25).
Season 2 stars Domhnall Gleeson, Sabrina Impacciatore, Chelsea Free, Melvin Gregg, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Tim Key, Ramona Young, Eric Rahill, Duane Shepard Sr., Alex Edelmanand Oscar Nunez.
The second season will premiere on Wednesday, September 9, with all episodes streaming at once.
Here’s the synopsis: “In season two, after winning the Ohio Journalism Awards, Ned searches for a journalistic crusade, joins a local private club and endangers the paper, while he and Mare try to figure out their attraction, Esmeralda struggles to find her place and the staff gradually matures as journalists.”
The show centers around the documentary crew that immortalized Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch The officewho find a new subject when they discover a historic newspaper in the Midwest and the publisher tries to revive it.

Steve Carellwho portrayed Michael Scott on the original series, will not appear.
“I want to watch, but I don’t want to appear. It’s just a new thing and there’s really no reason for my character to appear in something like this,” Steve told THR when the show premiered. Learn more about the cast and who won’t be returning.
