Benson Boone sings about a past love in his new song “Time of my life.”
The 23-year-old singer plays with the influencer Alix Earle in the music video for the song, where they perform together in a play while he can’t stop thinking about his ex.
“I’m having the time of my life / And I wish you were still right here / I wish you’d come along / You, why did you leave me so soon? / Before all the flowers could bloom? / I wish you’d come along,” Benson sings in the first verse of the song.
In the chorus, he blurts out, “‘Cause now every day’s a party / Every night’s a nightmare / I can’t let go of my head / Without wishing you came along.”
Benson could possibly sing about his ex-girlfriend, influencer and actress Maggie Thurmon. They broke up in late 2025 after about two years of dating.
This marks Benson‘s first new music in 2026, and while he has yet to announce a new album, this feels like the beginning of a new musical era for the singer. Benson will launch its Wanted Man Tour this summer.
