
Brennan Elliott is back on the Hallmark Channel in a very meaningful way.
The Hallmark favorite stars opposite Erica Cerra in a new movie Our own castle which premiered Saturday night (June 27) on the Hallmark Channel and will stream the following day on Hallmark+.
The film marks Brennan‘s first Hallmark movie since his wife’s death, Camilla Rowwho died in March 2025 after a battle with stomach cancer.
In a new interview with People, Brennan opened up about returning to work and moving into a new chapter of her life after experiencing such a devastating loss.
“It’s hard to move on when certain things happen to you, but you have to keep stopping. I feel like this is the next chapter in my life,” he told the magazine, also sharing that he now feels like he’s going to play as a “blank canvas.”
Brennan said he has “gone through the stages of grief” and will “always mourn” his wife, but he can hear her in his head giving him words of encouragement.
“I’m really embracing and enjoying the process and the journey,” the actor added.
Brennan and Camilla share two children together, Liam and Luna. Camillawho was a clinical psychologist, had also become an advocate in the gastric cancer community after publicly sharing her own health journey.
Our own castle follows an overworked architect whose unexpected summer trip leads her to reconnect with her daughter and find love. Brennan plays Adam, a local contractor who becomes part of the emotional journey.
The film is also a milestone for Brennan professionally and marks his 32nd Hallmark film.
Fans can see Our own castle on the Hallmark Channel, with the film streaming the next day on Hallmark+.
Brennan previous praised his frequent Hallmark co-star Lacey Chabert for helping him through “dark times” after his wife’s death.
