‘Summer House’ star quits show after scandal


After a turbulent last few months, West Wilson is leaving Cottage.

Deadline reports that the sports journalist turned reality TV villain will not be returning for season 11 of the Bravo series. Black reports that Wilson’s contract was not renewed. The news likely comes ahead of an impending cast announcement, as filming usually begins around the July 4th weekend.

Wilson, who has vacillated between villain and fan favorite since joining Cottage in Season 8, has been embroiled in a scandal after he reunited with co-star Amanda Batula following her split from co-star Kyle Cooke, who she was married to for four years before they announced their split in January.

The fallout from the drama also affected co-star Ciara Miller, who previously dated Wilson. In fact, Miller and Wilson seemed to rekindle a relationship of sorts in the latest season of the Hamptons set Cottage.

After the reunion, Wilson doubled down, he said on his podcast Show me something that he hoped the New York Knicks would lose Game 5 of the NBA Finals on Saturday night so they would force a Game 6 on Tuesday. That way, fewer people would watch the bonus episode Cottage scheduled for Tuesday evening.
