Real Housewives star shares emotional statement as daughter debuts on Love Island

Real Housewives of Cheshire star Leanne Brown has broken her silence following her daughter’s ITV2 debut

A Real Housewives of Cheshire star has issued a lengthy statement following her daughter’s Love Island debut.

Leanne Brown49, was an original cast member on the Cheshire spin-off of the popular housewives franchise. She appeared for six seasons before quitting, though she returned for several cameos in future installments.

Now, her daughter Halle is taking her own leap into reality TV. The 23-year-old dancer has been confirmed as one of four new bombshells entering the villa tonight (June 17).

She already has her eye on Kavan Murphy, Lorenzo Alessi and Simba Kudyiwa – who are already building strong relationships in the villa.

Ahead of her big debut, Halle’s mom has shared a heartfelt statement on Instagram.

“She lights up every room she walks into with her warmth, kindness, energy and beautiful spirit,” Leanne wrote alongside a series of photos of Halle.

She continued: “I honestly couldn’t be prouder of her. People might see the glamour, the confidence and now Love Island… but what they don’t always see is the strength, resilience and hard work behind it all.

“Halle has always been a grafter. She worked her way through uni, chased every opportunity and has always understood the value of working hard for the life you want.”

The mother-of-three went on to praise her child’s “kind soul” before confessing: “She has been my rock, beyond her years, with the biggest heart”.

While she is excited to witness her daughter’s journey, Leanne is aware that being in the spotlight brings challenges.

She added: “So while of course as a mother I have concerns about life in the public eye, I also know exactly who my daughter is. And I have no doubt that she will blossom on this journey and show everyone the same light that we all see in her every single day.

“Excited to see what this chapter brings and if anyone deserves the chance to shine, grow and hopefully find love… it’s Halle. I’m so proud I could burst.”

Leanne finished by asking her 65,000 followers to join her in supporting Halle. The Real Housewives star shares Halle with ex-husband Wes Brown, a legendary Manchester United player.

The couple married in 2009 and announced their divorce in 2022. They also share daughters Lilia and Lola.

Love Island continues on ITV2 and ITVX tonight at 9pm
