Young and restless early spoilers for the week of June 22nd through the 26th reveal Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott)’s health is deteriorating and she will receive a truly terrifying diagnosis. Meanwhile Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) is terrified, held captive, and searches for a way to save herself.
We’ll get into what’s to come in the week starting June 22nd, when the July bugs start. And as we always do on Early Edition Day, we’ll start with what’s happening the rest of this week and then get into what’s happening next week.
Young and the Restless: Diane’s Captivity and Nikki’s Health Crisis
So on Wednesday June 17th we have Diane, still trapped, looking around Dr. Markham’s (Jere Burns) house while he is away. And she finds a mobile phone, but unfortunately it needs a password to open. And then the doctor appears. So Diane quickly puts the phone away and she tells Markham that she accepts that she has had a breakdown.
But Diane doesn’t want to be transferred to a clinic and she asks him if she can stay. So she badgers Markham until he agrees to at least consider letting her stay instead of being transferred. I’m sure it’s going to cost Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) more money.
Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) complains Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) that their wedding venue is not available, and Sally asks if they should have their ceremony at the Abbott mansion, but Billy says that Diane has disappeared, Patty has moved in, and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) had to kick everyone else out. Sally is worried that Jack is in danger from Patty, but she also wants Billy to focus mostly on them.
He agrees that Sally comes first, and she dissuades Billy from confronting Patty and derailing Jack’s devious plan. Also, Devon Hamilton Winters (Bryton James) beats Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) on a corner kick and he talks about Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) makes him CEO and Devon is furious with Cane for disappointing Lily and their children so many times.
Young and the Restless : Lily’s confidence in Cane and Nikki’s confrontation
Meanwhile, Nikki confronts Lily about her deal with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). But it turns out that Nikki is actually more upset that Lily made Cane CEO Chancellor. So Lily thinks Katherine would have approved and says Cane deserves that and a second chance too. And Lily reminds Nikki that she loves Victor, even after all the horrible things he’s done. And Nikki says some things are unforgivable. I don’t know how she thinks Cane is worse than Victor who paid Patty to rape Jack. And it’s not the first time he’s paid someone to harass Jack. So sorry, not sorry. I’m Team Lily on this.
Devon continues to berate Cane, calling him a bad influence on Lily. Just as she walks in, she tells Devon that she believes in Cane, but Devon says that Lily is going to regret ever trusting Cane again and storms off. Lily apologizes to Canebut he says Devon is justified. Lily takes Cane to see his new CEO office and he asks Lily again if she wants to run Chancellor? So they talk about Katherine always messing with them and that Chancellor has brought them back together and they get kisses and sweetness.
Y&R Spoilers: Jack’s Deception and Patty’s Escalation
Jack narrates Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) they have to move out and they agree to help save Diane. And then Patty shows up with all her emotional baggage and her regular baggage and drapes herself over Jack and talks about their love. Tracy and Kyle play it off, talking about how disgusted they are and how they’re sure Jack will come to his senses. Kyle talks about never forgiving Jack for this. And then he and Tracy storm out.
Patty flops down on the couch and talks about how nice it is to be home, but Jack brushes it off when she tries to kiss him, telling them to take it slow. Jack demands to speak to Diane’s doctor, and Patty says she’s waiting for contact information. She lies right next to his face Young and restless.
Young and the Restless Spoilers: Nikki Going Downhill
With Genoa City Athletic ClubNikki is hit with another terrible headache when Traci shows up to check in, and she tells Nikki and Lily that Diane is missing, that Patty is behind it, and that Jack had to kick them out. And Traci says that Jack is playing along with Patty to protect Diane while they try to find her.
Nikki says she wants to see Jack, but Tracy says, “Please don’t let Patty know that Jack is playing her.” So Nikki goes over to the mansion, asks Jack what he’s thinking, and threatens to throw Patty out.
Nikki’s headache gets worse when Patty joins them, and Nikki reminds her that Jack is a married man and says that Patty belongs in a mental institution. She reminds Nikki that her own marriage is in the toilet and that she knows she hates Diane too. And Patty says, “Leave us and go away.”
Nikki calls her crazy and then leaves. Patty tells Jack she moved into a guest room but says her door is unlocked and she’s sure Jack will be in her bed soon and forces him into a kiss. Outside, Nikki’s vision becomes completely distorted and she is so wobbly that she can barely stand.
Young and the Restless: Matt’s orders and Victor’s schemes
Thursday 18 June. Victor fixes things with Matt Clark (Roger Howarth). So he’s reluctant to go dark again, but Victor insists he’s following orders. We have that too Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) hits on Cane and hits him where it hurts. So I think Phyllis will rub it in Cane’s face that Victor gave her Arabic. But I can see Cane clapping back that he got Chancellor and he got Lily. Phyllis and Victor are both going to hate how happy that Cane is.
Meanwhile, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is stressed over Nikki’s health problems after she nearly collapses outside Jack’s house. It looks like Victoria won’t let go until Nikki agrees to go to the doctor, which she will very soon.
Young and the Restless: Phyllis’ Discovery and July Sweeps Preview
On Friday, June 19, Phyllis comes across valuable information. It could be about Patty, Diane, or something to do with Matt. Also Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) snaps up Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver). Noah Newman’s (Lucas Adams) much older lover is clearly jealous and feels threatened. And Victoria opens up to Claire Newman (Hayley Erin). This could be about Nikki and her health issues, but I think Victoria might also be talking about Victor moving Chancellor away from her and give it to Lily without even giving her a heads up. Another crappy thing Victor has done to his family.

Young and the Restless: Juli sweeps out with major plot developments
In the week of June 22nd to 26th, things will really heat up as the July sweeps start on Thursday, June 25th. Cane and Lily continue to grow closer. It won’t be too long before they hit the sheets and she and Cane will have to deal with all the haters mad about him being the CEO and their romantic reunion. Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) is coming back to Genoa City soon, but I’m not sure she’s going to stick around. We will delve into Matt’s efforts to get closer to Cane. I wonder if Matt might end up confiding in Cane.
Noan will be stuck mediating between Audra and Sienna, but will he enjoy the attention? Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) recovery hits roadblocks during sweeps with a relapse on the way, and Victor steps up his plan to destroy Cane. Victor is more furious after hearing that Lily appointed Cane as CEO of Chancellor, but Matt can push back on what Victor has ordered him to do.
Y&R Spoilers: Nikki & Victor Reunion Coming
Victor and Nikki is heading towards reunification because of her health battle, but initially we get to see her hide it from Victor because she doesn’t want her scary diagnosis to be the thing that brings him back. So Nikki has to go to the doctor soon and she finds out that something is terribly wrong with her.
Very time sensitive, a new diagnosis. It’s not her multiple sclerosis. We also have Diane struggling while stuck with the evil Dr. Markham, and she is desperate to find a way out. That cell phone should call 911. You can always call emergencies without a password. Maybe she’ll find out soon. Meanwhile, Jack tries to play Patty, who will soon lose his patience. I wouldn’t be surprised if she drugs Jack again and slips back into the sheets. And on the same day that the July sweeps start, Thursday 25 June, keep an eye out for the rework Jill Abbott (Lauren Koslow) in the role for only five episodes.
