Yesterday, Rockstar surprised us all again with a brand new one announcement. Fans may not have received the long-awaited third trailer, but they got the next best thing with news of when pre-orders will begin for the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI.
Set to launch on November 19, 2026, we’re finally on the starting line when it comes to the launch of perhaps the biggest video game of all time, and things really picked up yesterday when Rockstar took to its social media channels with a brand new update.
Not only did we receive the news that pre-ordered for Grand Theft Auto VI officially begins on June 25th on both digital storefronts and select retailers, but we also got our first look at the game cover.
Revealed in a short trailer complete with what already sounds like a fantastic and unique soundtrack, the cover consists of the standard Grand Theft Auto montage, with various characters and vehicles that will star in Grand Theft Auto VI. This includes a water helicopter, new art of brand new protagonists Jason and Lucia, a motorcycle, our new cover girl, cars, boats, alligators and side characters like Brian Heder, an old school drug runner.
The results are stunning, especially paired with the brand new sunset color palette GTA VI will contain. Well, if you’re also a fan of the recently revealed cover art for Grand Theft Auto VI, you’re lucky Rockstar has included a way to do that download the art on its official website. So if you want to look at the art right up to the game’s launch in November, you can access it in HD, making it the perfect wallpaper for your phone, PC or tablet.
With only a few days left for pre-orders to go Grand Theft Auto VI officially goes live, it will also mark the first time we’ll see the long-debated price for the next Rockstar title. With fans claiming they would pay upwards of $100 for one copy we hope this will not be the case, at least for the standard edition. However with GTA VI is expected to be the biggest game launch ever, and with millions of fans waiting well over a decade since the last installment, it’s safe to say that desperation plays a key role.
It may not be my area of expertise, but I think it is unlikely that a standard edition of Grand Theft Auto VI will cost $100, but there’s also no denying that the majority of fans will opt for a potential deluxe edition of the game, which can certainly hit that price.
For now, we’ll have to continue our wait for news, but with the home stretch finally upon us, it won’t be long until we finally get back to Vice City with the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI.
