A source has revealed that Tom Holland’s viral performance of “Umbrella” was the exact moment Zendaya got “confused” with her now-husband.
The “Euphoria” actress reportedly fell “hard for” Holland after watching his fishnet-clad, rain-soaked 2017 drag performance of Rihanna’s “Umbrella” during an episode of “Lip Sync Battle,” according to a source at post on Sunday.
The insider reportedly told the paper that the bold performance — complete with fireworks — “sealed the deal” for the “Greatest Showman” star, 29.
“It’s not only sexy, but it shows how amazingly talented he is,” the source told the paper. “It takes a lot of confidence for a straight guy to pull off.”
During the performance — which has since gone viral — the “Dune” actress could be seen wide-eyed and laughing in disbelief as Holland performed sultry choreography in black frilly shorts and a latex corset top.
“When he was announced as Spider-Man, people were taken aback because he’s a bit of a goofball,” the source said. “But what he lacks in stature, he more than makes up for in talent.”
They added of the famous moment: “You can see the shock on her face, but then the admiration. I’m sure it’s something they’ll show their kids one day.”
Reps for Zendaya and Holland did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment Saturday.
The report surfaced just days after the “Spider Man: Far From Home” actor, 30, he and Zendaya confirmed are husband and wife after months of speculation.
During an interview with Esquire published Tuesday, the “Avengers: Endgame” actor was asked if he had to clarify to the family that AI photos of them at a wedding party were fake.
“No, because they were all there,” Holland said, adding, “that’s all you get on it.”
Holland made no secret of the fact that marriage to the Emmy winner has been good for him.
“She’s my best friend and I’m the happiest I’ve ever been when I’m with her,” he told the newspaper. “But I’ve also never felt so supported and safe ever. Period.”
The power couple was first romantically linked back in 2017 in the midst of filming “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” though they was not published until years later, in 2021.
In February, Zendaya set the rumor mill on fire wearing a simple gold band instead of her multi-carat engagement ring during an outing in Beverly Hills.
Her stylist Law Roach subsequently told “Access Hollywood” at the SAG Actor Awards in March that “The wedding has already happened,” and added, “You missed it. It is very true.”
