There is no season 1 Love Island couple still together today
Love Island‘s first season seemed promising, and there were plenty of couples who hit it off and fell in love by the end of the series. Even couples like Kyra and Cashel, who almost didn’t get together but later did, seemed to work on their relationship after the show ended.
Unfortunately, Kyra Green and Cashel Barnett, like the other main couples from the show, broke up permanently after a will-they-or-won’t-they breakup. Kyra built a career out of her reality TV fame.

According to a June 2, 2026, Cosmopolitan article, Murphy ended up staying with Johnnie Garcia from Season 5.
As for the rest of the first season’s cast, here’s what happened to their love stories after-Love Island. Although reality show couples can be very unpredictable, Garcia and Murphy appear to still be together as of this writing.
Elizabeth Weber and Zac Mirabelli were a fan favorite that everyone hoped would beat the odds
Elizabeth Weber and Zac Mirabelli lasted only a few months after Love Island Season 1 ended
Elizabeth Weber and Zac Mirabelli were Love Island‘s success story that held together through the end of the show and won the grand prize. Shortly after cashing in their $100,000 prize, Elizabeth and Zac went their separate ways.
Both halves of the former couple took to Instagram to announce the breakup news, confirming their split was amicable.
Although Weber and Mirabelli didn’t last, she seems very confident that her current relationship will. In September 2025, Nashville Bride Guide reported that Weber had become engaged to Gianni Settino”an analytical software engineer with a French-Canadian background.” The outlet noted that the pair were set up by mutual friends.

Emily Salch and Weston Richey split quietly
Fans were still reeling from Emily Salch and Weston Richey at the end of Love Island season one, and the fourth-place finishers looked to have a fighting chance. However, shortly after the series stopped filming, the two drifted apart.
Only it didn’t sound as gentle or friendly as the other brides from the show. Not only did Emily and Weston quietly break up– no “mutual split” social media posts for them – they don’t seem to have remained friends.
For Emily’s part, her “breakup announcement” was a simple nod to spending the next Valentine’s Day alone after the show ended. It’s unclear exactly what went wrong, but Emily and Weston were clearly not alone in their failed relationship.
Weston Richey may yet find love on reality TV as he joined the cast Perfect Match Season 4. As The tab reported in May 2026, he is looking for a wife with whom he could raise children who are athletesor as he was quoted as saying, “D1 babies.”
Are any of the British Love Island couples still together?
Several of the couples from Love Island UK are still together, with some engaged, married and starting families
Many of the relationships on Love Islands multiple seasons, whether in the US or UK, have petered out shortly after their respective seasons ended. That’s not to say the show has been a complete failure; some couples from the series’ most recent seasons (2022, 2023 and 2024) are still together. At least for now.
But there is a handful of couples whose love stories never ended after Love Island did; it’s largely the British couples whose seasons began before the American show ever aired.
Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen, for example, appeared on Love Island in 2016; they later got married and have a child together. The same happened to Cara Delahoyde and Nathan Massey; their 2016 runs on Love Island ended with a marriage and two children.
Jess Shears and Dom Lever also got married and had children, as did Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt, and Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury, although the two recently announced their split.

Love Island USA’s Carsten “Bergie” Bergersen and Taylor Smith celebrate 1 year anniversary via social media
This season 5 couple has been holding strong beyond the beautiful Fijian villa.
The show might not have a completely terrible track record, at least on the UK side, and fans are clearly very invested in seeing how each person’s story plays out on the show. It’s safe to say that even with a track record of countless breakups, the show isn’t going anywhere.
