The family and friends of Elena Katherine Moore speaking out.
As we previously reported, he was a personal trainer reported missing by her husband, Brannon disc (pictured above), earlier this month. Elena was last seen working out at Planet Fitness on June 11. She logged in at 6.40pm and left a few hours later before wandering into the woods behind Lowe’s where she disappeared. And after days of searching, the police unfortunately discovered a body in those woods that matched Elena’s description.
Her manner and cause of death are currently unknown. A report from Lexington County Coronerhowever revealed no physical struggleand no bruises, cuts, gunshot wounds, stab wounds, blunt force trauma, strangulation or other external injuries. The histological examinations and toxicology screenings are not finished, so the police still have no idea what happened to Elena. It’s a huge mystery.

And while they wait for answers, the loved ones have a telling message for the public. Lee Snella close friend of Elena, shared a statement about Facebook Sunday, apparently on behalf of the family, as they are tagged in the post. She wrote:
“We are all deeply saddened and saddened. This amazing couple was married two years ago by my husband in Columbia, South Carolina. I have been in daily contact with Brannon and his family. At this time, we respectfully request that Sondra Rachelle Campbell cease and desist from contacting Brannon or the news media with her ‘stories.’ The details of the situation are emerging. Please respect Brannon’s privacy at this time. … Elena has a story and Brannon wants to share the one when the time is right to do so in the hope of helping others.”
Sounds like Elena was fighting behind the scenes…
Meanwhile, Sondra has been very vocal in the media since Elena’s disappearance. She told NewsNation she suspected foul play, especially since Elena was having marital problems with Brannon:
“I believe foul play is involved. I believe my friend was fighting for her life. I believe she was literally scared for her life. There have been issues, they were trying to break up. These are red flags to me.”
It’s important to note that law enforcement said they did not suspect foul play and Elena’s husband was “not a person of interest at this time.” Sondra is adamant that she thinks something is not right here. The friend explained Fox News that Elena “was in fear of her life” when she last saw her on May 31. And when Sondra asked what was wrong, the personal trainer reportedly wanted to discuss it privately because “there are too many people around.” Sondra then missed a phone call from Elena on June 4 and tried to call and text back, but never got a response. And Elena died days later.
Despite her suspicions, Sondra acknowledged NewsNation that Elena struggled with anxiety:
“She loved her life. She looked forward to days. When she had bad days, she still had clients. She still showed up for them. So mental illness and the things that are being said about her, it just doesn’t make sense until this last week when you really start to see what you saw on that camera.”
Sondra talks about surveillance footage from a week before her disappearance, in which she appeared disoriented as she tried to enter her and Brannon’s home after a DoorDash order. See HERE.
Hopefully the family will soon share answers about what happened to Elena. Reactions to the statement, Perezcious readers? Tell us.
