‘I don’t know if I can defend it’: Love Island fans turn on girl after ‘nasty’ move

Love Island viewers are not impressed with the ITV2 star’s actions

Love Island viewers have turned on one of their favorite contestants after an “ugly” scene in the last section.

Season 13 of the popular reality show is well underwayand several islanders have settled into comfortable couples. But the popular pulse challenge has unleashed chaos among the strongest duos, including business owner Jasmine and electrician Kavan.

In Wednesday’s (June 24) episode, Kavan was left delighted when newcomer Tommy spat in Jasmine’s mouth during his cheeky dance routine. The 21-year-old was further enraged when he found out that Jasmine had encouraged Tommy to make the bold move.

When he finally confronted his partner, Jasmine explained that she assumed Tommy was going to spit in her mouth anyway and was just playing along.

Despite her explanation, Kavan still questioned their connection because he felt that she might not respect their relationship as much as he does. It seems that viewers at home have not only taken Kavan’s side in spades, but they’ve also turned on long-term favorite Jasmine.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one said: “Nah that was nasty… Jasmine girl what are you doing #Lovelsland #LovelslandUK.”

Another agreed: “Having someone spit in your mouth can be insane, I don’t know if I can defend #LoveIsland.” While a third added: “Let’s not lie the Tommy Jasmine thing was nastyyy #loveisland #loveislanduk.”

Another fan chimed in: “Bro, Jas let another man spit in her mouth and swallowed it. Why are people acting like it’s not wild??!!! #loveislanduk.” With one final viewer admitting: “Never thought I’d start to dislike Jasmine, but here we are.”

However, one fan claimed: “IT’S A POINT CHALLENGE, KAVAN, LEAVING THE SPIT.” Another noted: “okay The saliva in the mouth thing really isn’t that deep.”

Kavan and Jasmine have already worked through their feud, but fans aren’t convinced the pair are headed for a split.

Just last night (June 23), the duo got into a heated argument after Kavan told Jasmine to “chill out” during a chat with their co-stars.

She was furious that he interrupted her conversation to silence her, but Kavan claimed she berated him like a schoolboy. Given the duo’s recent tiffs, they might not last much longer.

Love Island airs Sunday to Friday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX
