The singer flew out to Miami to cheer on the Scots at their match against Brazil after her TRNSMT show on Sunday
Amy Macdonald has taken to Instagram to voice her opinion on Scotland’s ‘horrendous’ result against Brazil Wednesday evening.
The Scottish singer, who performed at Glasgow’s TRNSMT on Sunday before flying out to Miami to cheer on Steve Clarke team, shared a video of her walking around South Florida with her husband, Richard Foster.
The 38-year-old filmed herself speaking to the camera as she said: “It’s really lovely here by the way. It was a terrible football result but I mean who really expected anything else, let’s be honest.”
She laughed as she sarcastically added: “It’s just about taking part” before concluding: “It’s lovely here so it was worth it.”
Despite their loss, the pair still travel around Miami in their team’s colors. Amy shared another clip where Foster could be seen standing on the side of the pavement, dressed in a matching striped blue two-piece and light blue trainers to match, as she said: “Gives that Foz is better dressed than I am.”
When Amy turned the camera around, she was also wearing a long sleeve shirt top with a blue collar.
The singer-songwriter landed in Miami earlier this week ahead of the game. She shared a post on Instagram of herself standing outside Miami Stadium dressed in a Scottish top, an Adidas tartan kilt skirt with a Saltire flag tucked over the bag.
She captioned the photo: “So proud of my little country. What a buzz to be here.”
Scotland were beaten 3-0 by Brazil on Wednesday night (June 24) in a heartbreaking loss for the Tartan Army.
The country is now waiting to find out if the team will reach the knockout stages as the best placed third placed team.

Although there is still a glimmer of hope, many of the players and Clarke have already said they believe they will go home.
Amy attended the match with her own former Scottish footballer Richard Foster, commonly known as Foz.
The now 40-year-old coach is a retired professional right-back who played for clubs including Aberdeen, Rangers, St Johnstone and Partick Thistle.
The couple got engaged on New Year’s Eve in 2016 and tied the knot in Las Vegas two years later.
Amy and Richard currently live in a property near Glasgow; the singer is originally from Bishopbriggs, while the former footballer is from Elgin in the Scottish Highlands.
