Gwyneth Paltrow blasted after advertising Israeli luxury apartments

Reading time: 3 minutes

We usually think of Gwyneth Paltrow sharing the odd “wellness” content and occasionally shady post.

But she is under a lot of fire after appearing in a commercial for an Israeli real estate agent.

The luxurious condominiums, which cost 10 million dollars per pop, is only about 50 miles from Gaza, much of which has been turned into a rubble-strewn cemetery by the IDF.

Paltrow is coming under fire for “greed and depravity” in this venture. Will she even care about the backlash?

51 Park is far from home

Paltrow recently appeared in a bizarre commercial for 51 Park.

She advertises lavish $10 million penthouses in a pair of 51-story luxury skyscrapers in Herzliyadeveloped by Aviv Melisron.

(Herzliya is a small town in occupied Palestine named after Theodore Herzl, whom some have described as the founder of modern Zionism.)

In the ad – which is in English and shot primarily in New York, Paltrow goes for a morning run and then asks her driver to go to “Herzliya, Israel.”

It’s a bit far for a car to travel when it’s on another continent. But the bizarre premise of the ad is barely a footnote when it comes to the backlash.

The backlash against Paltrow has been vocal across social media.

Many bring up a recent one Goop podcast video where she admitted that her husband, Brad Falchuk, considers her a conservative.

She identifies as a centrist and says she doesn’t “feel anything” right now, a remark full of astonishing privilege but also a large dose of her trademark inanity.

Paltrow has previously worked with Israeli projects.

In 2024, she teamed up with Noa Tishby – a former actress who occasionally appeared to ruin episodes of some major Vancouver-filmed shows some 20 years ago – who is now a notorious and apparently full-time Zionist influencer.

Who is this ad’s target audience?

People could have a negative response even though she advertised $10 million condos in Glasgow.

This is a time of extreme economic pressure, especially given the Trump regime’s work to increase inflation.

However, commercial land stolen in commemoration of the formation of the apartheid state of Israel is on another level.

Then, after the IDF began the wholesale slaughter of entire families, it carried out the ethnic cleansing of Gaza.

Israel is now on United Nations list countries that use rape as a weapon of war. Convinced that they can continue with impunity, they have also directed their never-ending aggression against neighboring countries, bombing Lebanon and Iran with ostensibly expansionist aims.

Something political and pop culture podcaster Matt Bernstein pointed out that we want to reiterate is that this ad shows its true purpose.

It is recorded in the USA. Paltrow speaks English in it. And it cast a famous American actress and Goop pusher.

This is not an advertisement aimed at convincing Israelis to move to 51 Park.

Rather, it appears to be an advertisement to convince wealthy American Zionists to move to Israel and live in luxury in a nation that is forever waging wars against its neighbors.

Israel has lost a lot of public support in recent years, now that more of the world – especially in the US – sees the country for what it is.

This won’t do any wonders for Paltrow’s public image. But will she even notice?
