A model who has been missing for over a decade has resurfaced – but in the last place her parents ever expected or wanted to see her.
According to the German news media There Spyl, a 22-year-old woman named Michele disappeared from her mother’s home sometime in early September 2025. Her brother, Jonastold the outlet that she grabbed a suitcase to go on a trip without saying where she was going or for how long, “but that was normal.” And he expected her to return in a week or two as usual. But this time she didn’t.

A month passed and the family became worried. They went to the police to report her missing, but law enforcement couldn’t do much because Michele was an adult and there was no indication that a crime had been committed. It didn’t matter that she hadn’t been in touch with her family for weeks, even though she always checked in while she was away. There was nothing they could or would do.
Der Spiegel reported that the family continued to contact Michele’s friends, but they also did not hear from her. Soon it had been 11 years since she disappeared without a trace and they never found Michele. The family said they hoped she would reappear one day — and she did, just not in the way they expected.
At the end of last year the US Department of Justice began releasing millions of documents from the Epstein files. Many names appeared in these documents, including Michele’s. Along with a man who allegedly played a role in Jeffrey Epsteins sex-trafficking ring — Daniel Siad.
Michele’s mother, Annetteexplained to Der Spiegel that her daughter moved to Dubai in 2012 after dropping out of school to model. While in the restaurant Buddha Bar the same year she met Siad. The mother recalled her daughter telling her:
“He said he worked as a model scout and was always looking for beautiful girls.”
Siad has previously said in interviews that his job as a modeling agent is to “discover” young women and refer them to agencies. And while that part is apparently true, since he allegedly had connections to top modeling agencies, including elite ones, he also had another gig—allegedly connecting those women to wealthy men like Epstein. In the archives, Siad’s name appears nearly 2,000 times as he was in contact with the disgraced financier from at least 2009. He allegedly often hit on women for Epstein and sent him pictures and targets. And Michele unfortunately caught his eye…
Annett said Michele would tell her about trips to China, Britain and South America for modeling jobs and photo shoots, as well as luxury hotels and expensive vacations. But when the mother asked for more details, her daughter refused:
“You would never get an answer out of her.”
A year later, Michele took Annett on a yacht in Dubai, where she met Siad. The mother recalled that he was “open and kind”, adding:
“He actually came across as legitimate.”
But at the same time, she had been suspicious of how her daughter knew so many wealthy people. Her father, Vladoeventually figured out what was going on. He recalled once overhearing Michele on the phone with Siad and confronting her about him:
“Michele said she worked for him as an escort.”
Knowing what they know now, her mother thinks that “Siad set Michele up with rich people who took advantage of her.” And one of those people may have been Epstein. In February 2014, Siad emailed photos of Michele to Epstein. A month later, he asked the convicted pedophile if he would send a ticket to “Michele”. Siad promised Epstein that he knows Michele well, that she is “very cool” and “you will love her.” In another email, he then described her as “the girl you missed from Germany.” And this all happened before Michele disappeared…
The emails do not reveal whether Michele ever met Epstein in person. Two of his former assistants claimed that Der Spiegel that they never saw Michele. German police officials also noted that she was not traveling to the United States when those emails were sent. Siad is currently under investigation in France on suspicion of helping Epstein traffic and abuse women. He has since denied any wrongdoing.
Hopefully one day this family can get answers to what happened to Michele. Reactions, perezcious readers? Tell us (below).
