Sean “Diddy” Combs will be released from prison sooner than expected.
Diddy is now scheduled to be released on February 23, 2028, according to official Federal Bureau of Prisons records seen by Us Weekly.
The rapper’s prison sentence has already been shortened a few times, with his originally scheduled release date set for June 4, 2028, before moving to April 25, 2028.
He is currently serving time at Fort Dix in southern New Jersey. Fort Dix is a low-security federal prison where he is serving a four-year sentence after being convicted of two counts of transportation for prostitution in July 2025. He pleaded not guilty at trial.
He and his legal team have tried to appeal the case, but Diddy remains in prison pending the decision.
“He’s focused on the appeal,” his lawyer Juda Engelmayer recently told Us Weekly about his current thinking. “And looking back on his life and trying to figure out ways to improve and become a better person.”
“He’s become like a paralegal, if not a lawyer already,” he said. “My experience (is that) clients who are deeply involved in their cases are the ones who get further.”
Earlier this month, a former child actor passed away John Doe sued Diddy over claims the rapper sexually assaulted him as a minor.
