Tensions continue to rise in the Love Island villa as a dumped star has revealed all
A dump Love Island star has revealed edited scenes that viewers did not see after facing online backlash.
Season 13 is well underway with lots of twists and turns brings heaps of explosive moments. As week three draws to a close, viewers have already seen three unexpected exits and plenty of bombshell arrivals as tensions continue to rise in the villa.
The first to leave was Robyn after a brutal re-coupling ceremonyclosely followed by Ope and Victoria after an intense game of truth or dare. Bombshell George also left the villa after what he revealed were personal reasons.
Now Liverpool DJ Robyn has opened up about her time in the villa, as well as clarifying her comments in what she described as an edited scene.
The star came under fire after George’s exit was announced on the show, with islanders sharing their concerns and love for the footballer. Robyn was then heard joking: “Does that mean healthy men are coming or what?”
Lorenzo joked: “Two minutes and she’s already thinking about another man.” Robyn replied, “Sorry, I’m just saying, are there any men coming in?”
Many fans flocked to social media as one person wrote: “George hasn’t even left the outside of the villa and Robyn was asking for healthy men (laughing emojis).”
Another said: “Does that mean some healthy men are coming or what?” Robyn thanks.” A third added: “Robyn is asking for new suitable men before george even gets to the airport.”
In a clip shared on Instagram, Robyn was seen chatting with Capital XTRA recently, opening up about comments she made following George’s exit. She clarified: “So obviously George’s exit was a huge shock. I literally woke up in the morning saying where’s George.”
She spoke of her upset after his exit, adding: “I can confirm they edited it wrong. I didn’t say straight away if we were going to get more healthy men, I was actually cleaned, like really cleaned. I had done a beach hut and everything in between.”
Robyn said it was “a good 20-25 minutes later” before her comment: “It’s definitely been misunderstood. I was trying to lighten the mood. Someone had just left, so everyone has to make a joke.”
It’s not the first time Robyn has spoken out about the editing of the show, after revealing some islanders get a “bad edit”.
In an exclusive interview with More closely, she said she thought Ope “definitely had a bad edit” as well as Angelista, who she said “became a little boring”, which is far from what she really is.
She added: “I don’t think Lola has had enough screen time either because she’s a funny girl.”
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
