Gia Giudice defended his stepfather Luis Ruelas in the midst of Reality Blurb’s exclusive report that he was involved with her sister Milania Giudicearrest. The star also hinted at tension between the Bravo kids and “other kids.” Next Gen NYC.
Earlier this month, an insider told Reality Blurb that Milania was arrested after “walking on” one of her sisters, and Teresa Giudice‘s husband Luis got involved to stop her and calm her down. The source suggested he may have been hit in the process.
On “Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe” Gia defended her stepfather Luis.
“He’s amazing. He’s such a great stepdad because I know people have horror stories about stepdads,” she said. “Some of my girlfriends … (have) had issues with their stepfathers. But he’s the best person ever, and he treats us like his own.”
“Yeah, he’s not our father and he never will be. And he would never outgrow that,” Gia explained. “Parenting (is hard) for my mom, how it’s affected her so much because she’s doing it alone. And she wants every day for (my dad) Joe Giudice) to come back just to be here and help his parent and really be here physically instead of virtually.”
In 2019, Joe was forced to return to his native Italy after pleading guilty to fraud.
Gia also hinted at tension between the Bravo kids and “other kids” in the cast of Next Gen NYC. (Currently, four of the cast are children of Real Housewives, while the other cast members have non-Bravo parents.)
“There was a discourse about … having Bravo kids mixed in with other kids because people felt we had an advantage,” Gia said. “I also want to showcase my relationship because I’m super proud of it and move into my apartment and have more of that independence and really show some of the struggles that I personally deal with.”
“I was like, I just have to be me. And that’s how I went into season two,” she continued. “I’m really excited for everyone to see me in season two because I think now you’re really going to see who I am. This is me, rather than season one wasn’t really me. It was me just not opening up.”
Next Gen NYC airs Wednesday nights on Bravo.
