One of the biggest twists in Love Island’s calendar is making a comeback
The Love Island the cast faces their biggest test yet with the return of Casa Amor.
The beloved feature sees boys and girls are separated and introduced to a batch of new bombs, all vying to turn heads and get a permanent place in the villa.
Each year, the cast is faced with the decision of whether to give in to temptation and team up with one of the new arrivals or stay true to their current partner.
Fans have been kept on their toes waiting for news on when the big twist will come, and it turns out they won’t have to wait long. At the end of Friday night’s (June 26) episode, it was confirmed that Casa Amor will return this coming Sunday night (June 28).
The news comes hot on the heels of a fresh reunion where the boys chose the girls. While they all seemed mostly content with their new pairing, the incoming twist could spark pandemonium.
Last year, the feature resulted in one of the show’s most dramatic moments when Tommy Bradley returned from Casa Amor with make-up artist Lucy Quinn on his arm, leaving the entire villa speechless. Meanwhile, his partner, Emily Moran, had remained loyal to him, resulting in her being brutally dumped from the show.
Tommy and Lucy’s relationship was surrounded by scandal when her friend on the outside, while Lucy was in the villa, had leaked a voicemail from her which appeared to reveal her plan to win the show before she set foot in Casa Amor.
In it, the bombshell could be heard saying, “By the way, I got a phone call today saying they’re going to fly me out on Tuesday or Monday. So they told me on Sunday they’re going to let me know 100 percent, but it looks like I’m in for one of those days. So they were like, get your stuff packed basically.”
“I thought, ‘I’m already packed with love’. They asked me for my three best boys. And told them I said, ‘Tommy, I want Tommy.’ I feel like if I’m with Tommy, I feel like I’ll make it all the way to the end.”
After being dumped from the show alongside Tommy, she spoke to the Voice Note on Love Island companion show Aftersun.
She clarified: “I said until the end, but it wasn’t the finale, I meant the end… I want to be with him in the future.” Unfortunately, the duo broke up soon after leaving the show.
Love Island airs Sunday to Friday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
