Love Island fans were left distracted after a “missing” favorite returned to the ITV villa
Love Island fans have been distracted just minutes into tonight’s episode, with the arrival of Casa Amor, as a “missing” star finally returned to screens.
Host Maya Jama returned to Love Island villa tonight (Sunday June 28) to deliver news of a huge twist. Casa Amor has finally arrived, bringing a slew of new bombs hoping to turn heads and catch the eye of an OG Islander.
ITV previously announced its latest line-up which included Irish influencer Charleen Murphy as well as the brother of a famous YouTuber – Jordon Wilson. Among the cast is also a personal shopper and kindergarten manager.
It wasn’t long before the drama started when Yasmine received a text that read: “Islanders, can you really sense how well you know your partner? It’s time to test your connections in today’s ‘Touch of Love’ challenge.”
But while the girls had their eyes and ears covered, Maya Jama arrived to lead the boys out to the Casa before breaking the news to the girls. The Islanders were quick to get to know the newcomers as viewers wonder who, if anyone, will have their heads turned.
But minutes into tonight’s episode, viewers were distracted after seeing Maya Jama back on their screens. Earlier, concerns were raised that host Maya Jama had not been seen for some time as they claim she had “disappeared”.
After appearing during the first episode to welcome the new arrivals to the villa, she has rarely been since – until tonight.
Maya is known for her shock entrances to the villa for various reasons, including delivering news of a public vote or leading an explosive challenge.
However, after sharing their concerns online, fans were happy to see Maya again, distracting them from the highly anticipated return of Casa Amor.
In relation to X, one person wrote: “Maya has left, it’s been a while.” Another echoed: “I’ve missed Maya omgg.”
A third said: “I miss seeing Maya, she looks amazing.” A fourth added: “The islanders are even shocked Maya is here because she hasn’t been there since the first episode.”
A fifth wrote: “Maya decides after 4 weeks to show up.” One person said: “Great… It’s been 3 weeks since we last saw Maya…”
Another commented: “Oh, so Maya finally decided to return to the villa,” to which another agreed: “MAYA IS BACK! FINALLY.”
But Maya had strict advice for the girls. She informed them that the boys had left and told them to stick around and get to know the new arrivals and explore a potential connection – a statement that went down well with fans.
Love Island airs Sunday to Friday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
