PlayStation Plus is getting a big discount for millions, but only for a limited time

PlayStation Plus has continued to prove that while it is unable to directly compete with Xbox Game Pass, it is capable of delivering good value to its subscribers. But for newcomers, there is a big problem, and that is that it is rarely discounted. This can make choosing it over other subscription services, or altogether, a difficult prospect. Therefore, whenever a good deal is found, it’s worth at least looking into it to see if, with the current selection of games available through the service, it’s a legitimate purchase.

Fortunately, there are so many right now incredible games on PlayStation Plus can be played through the extra and premium levels. Of course, that makes now the perfect time to jump on board, especially while there are still a few months to go Grand Theft Auto 6 will be launched in November. Even better, for millions of people there is a big discount available for PlayStation Plus, but only for an extremely limited time and only in certain regions.

Costco typically sells a bundle of four for $25 PlayStation gift card worth $100 for $89.99, which can then be used to purchase a monthly or annual PS Plus subscription. It’s also selling a bundle of two $75 PlayStation gift cards valued at $150 for $134.99. Those are already great deals, but since that’s their normal price, it’s not the discount players should be rushing out for. Instead, for a limited time, exclusively for members, Costco is further reducing the prices of both of these bundles.

The $84.99 bundle with four $25 gift cards is reduced by $5, bringing it down to just $84.99. Similarly, the $134.99 bundle with two $75 gift cards is reduced by $8, bringing it down to $126.99. That’s a lot of numbers saying that in the US and Canada right now, for the next few days, they can get massive PlayStation gift cards for significantly less. It’s also perfect timing, which PS Plus is getting huge upgrades to improve the service. The disadvantage is, as mentioned before, that these large savings do not last very long.

Costco has announced that these savings will only be available between June 22 and June 26, 2026. That means, at the time of writing, there are only about two days left before the deal ends. In addition, customers can only purchase a limited quantity of each product per purchase. You can only buy 3 of the $89.99 bundle and 2 of the $134.99 one. Of course, this deal is also unfortunately only available to those with a Costco membership and those located in the US or Canada.

For those located elsewhere or those who just happen to miss out, Sony gives official discounts on PlayStation Plus subscriptions every now and then specifically to incentivize new subscribers; so this isn’t the last time a PS Plus membership has been discounted. Additionally, it is definitely not advisable to buy both bundles just because they are discounted. It is always worth considering future discounts and the current value of the service. Still, for those eager to get one cheaper PS Plus subscription, this Costco deal could be the perfect option.
