Simone Biles knows the world is curious, but she makes it clear that she will share her story when she feels ready — and not a moment before.
The weekend was Olympic The fitness icon found herself fielding questions from followers again about the terrifying health scare she revealed earlier this month. While fans have understandably been worried ever since she first hinted at a terrifying ordeal, it looks like they’ll have to wait for answers.

On Sunday, a follower jumped into the comments section of one of Simone’s Instagram post and pointed out what many people have been thinking:
“We never got the update on your near death experience.”
It was a direct question, and honestly plenty of fans have asked since the decorated athlete first revealed that she had been through something incredibly serious. But Simone wasn’t ready to open up yet.
She has since replied:
“I’m not ready to talk about it yet.”
And who can really blame her?
As we’ve reported, the gymnastics superstar first shocked followers earlier this month when she revealed that she recently had experienced what she described as a near-death situation. At the time, she posted a photo showing what appeared to be multiple hospital bracelets on her arm and admitted the experience left her deeply shaken.
Since then, details have been sparse. Simone later posted photos showing get-well gifts and photos from her hospital stay, but she has continued to keep details of the medical emergency under wraps.

Recently, she revealed that she and her husband, Indianapolis Colts player Jonathan Owensenjoyed a much-needed getaway together, sharing photos on social media from what appeared to be a relaxing seaside vacation. The timing certainly suggests that the pair are prioritizing rest and quality time after an incredibly stressful stretch.
What happened then, the mystery is still unsolved. But!!!! Simone has earned the right to tell her story on her own terms. Whatever she experienced clearly had a big impact on her, and if she’s not ready to relive it publicly, fans will simply have to respect that boundary.
