Thais Mendes Files Divorce Answer, Requests Spousal Support, Says Patrick Owes Child Support – Starcasm

90 Day Fiancé's Thais Mendes files an answer and counterclaim for divorce on June 18, 2026.

90 Day Fiancé: The Last Resort‘s Thais Mendes has filed answers and counterclaims for divorce. The answer comes three days later Patrick filed a default judgment due to Thais missing the 21-day deadline to file a response.

Thais filed her response using her new divorce attorneyCarmen Marisol. Below are bullet points from the filing:

The Thais are not asking for primary legal or physical custody of the couple’s three-year-old daughter Aleesi. The response says both Thais and Patrick “are eligible to be awarded” joint legal and physical custody of Aleesi.

Thais says “the court should determine and calculate child support” based on the Nevada statute. The filing also alleges “there are child support arrearages owed by Plaintiff (Patrick).”

“Father should be solely responsible for the cost of any health insurance premium for the minor child,” the filing states. “Parties should be equally responsible for any unreimbursed medical costs not covered by health insurance under the 30/30 rule.”

In addition to potential child support, Thais says Patrick must pay spousal support.

Thais reveals that she plans to drop Patrick’s last name and “will restore her name to her maiden name.”

Thais says that “there are community assets of the parties to be adjudicated by the court, the exact amounts and descriptions of which are unknown to the defendant/counterclaimant at this time.”

The documentation acknowledges that there is a societal debt that must also be shared. Once again, the “exact quantities and descriptions of which are unknown” to Thais.

As Starcasm previously reported, Patrick said in his divorce papers the couple has more than $240,000 in unsecured debt. Patrick says Thais owes just under $20,000 total on multiple credit cards. Meanwhile, Patrick owes a whopping $221,889.02 to various banks and credit card companies.

Thais commented Starcasm’s Instagram post about the debt by writing: “I can confirm I have no idea what it is lol.”

In the event that Patrick “has assumed sole control of the community assets, community bank accounts and other community funds in order to hide or disguise these funds to avoid a fair distribution of the community assets, (Patrick) should provide a full and complete accounting of all community assets, investments and funds together with bank statements to compensate (these community funds) for any loss of community funds.”

In the event that (Patrick) has or will engage in actions individually or jointly with others that may constitute a substantial waste of community assets, (Patrick) should provide a full and complete accounting of all community assets, investments and funds together with bank statements to compensate (Thais) for any loss of those community funds.”

Thais is asking the court to require Patrick to pay her attorney’s costs.

It appears Thais has avoided a default judgment because a case management conference is scheduled for Aug. 20.
