Young and restless early spoilers for june 29 to july 3 stun with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) does everything to help Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) even though she claims she doesn’t want anything from him and she even gave back her wedding rings. Also, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) makes a risky move for his wife Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters).
And as always, we’ll start on the early release day with the rest of this week, and then we’ll get into what’s coming next week.
Young and the Restless: Nikki’s Crisis and Family Tensions – Wednesday, June 24
So let’s do it. On Wednesday 24 June, we got Victor to tell us Claire Grace Newman (Hayley Erin) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) that he knows what’s going on about Nikki’s health. He knows something is happening and he demands answers. So Victoria will not waste what’s going on with nikki and he knows from Claire about the headache, but not the full extent of things. And when Victor tries to get the information from Nikki directly, she reminds him that he kicked her out of the house and that Victor gave her company away, and she says she doesn’t owe him anything.
So, says Claire Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) that Victor and Nikki really need each other, but both are stubborn. And Holden says secrets always come out anyway. So later Claire circles back to Victor and she just goes ahead and tells him what’s going on with Nikki’s health. And of course he is worried.
Meanwhile, Victoria tells Nikki that Claire will keep her secret. Oh oh. Nikki gets another terrible headache and asks Victoria to take her to the hospital after again refusing to tell Victor the truth. Even though Victoria pestered her to let Victor be there for her, she just won’t agree. But of course Claire already took care of that.
The Young and the Restless: Nick’s struggle and Matt’s attempt at redemption
Also, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) narrates Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) that he is struggling with recovery. Nick went to a meeting and there was a guy who showed up after years of being clean. So he tells Sharon that he has dreams of being tall and she tells Nick just give it time. Sharon leaves, and Nick has to hunt down a dealer he bought from before who approaches him.
Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) is on Shadow room when Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) shows up to apologize and he tells Noah that he really liked him when they met. And Matt says he always thought people were suckers and he was smarter. Now he knows better. Noah calls Matt out on how he treated Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun). And then he calls Matt irredeemable and basically threatening to kill him. He tells Noah that he could have killed him or let him die, but he didn’t. And then Matt asks for a chance to show that he’s changed. Noah says Matt isn’t even human.
Young and the Restless Spoilers: Phyllis plays judge
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) joins in and tries to calm things down. And Noah wants to know why she’s even around Matt. And Noah reminds her that Matt isn’t even a bargaining chip anymore. Phyllis says that Matt is not a danger to him. And then Phyllis and Matt move on to Genoa City Athletic Club and he talks about how everyone is freaking out about him and thinks he’s going to attack them. Phyllis knows what it’s like because people think she’s too much too. Matt talks about her incredible brain and her beauty and then asks her out on a date.
Noah finds Nick right after he ran away from the dealership and asks who it was. He hesitates, but then admits that yes, it was a drug dealer. Noah wants to know if Nick bought anything and he says he didn’t but the fight is real. Noah calls him a hero, but Nick doesn’t feel that way. Noah says Shadow room is fine, but Matt stopped by and Noah didn’t like that at all. Not a bit. But Nick actually says that Matt is not a danger. The safety is on him, but I also think Nick thinks he’s declawed. Noah is upset that Victor lets Matt roam freely in Genoa City, and he even drives in one of Victor’s cars. Noah plans to make things difficult for Matt.
Young and the Restless July Sweeps kick off – Thursday, June 25 and Friday, June 26
So on Thursday, June 25th, the July sweep starts and Jack ponders how to save Diane. So we’ll see Jack explain it Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) it Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) found out where Dr. Markham lives and they have to lure the guy out of there. So Kyle has already volunteered to go in and look for Diane. And Billy wonders what will happen if Markham gets suspicious and goes back. So we’ll see if Billy ends up helping Jack and Kyle with this caper.
Also, Victor goes into action to help Nikki when things get worse. Her vision is further impaired. Her headache is getting worse. She needs surgery ASAP. So maybe Victor will assemble a dream team to help her. Jill Abbott (Lauren Koslow) is back with temporary recast actress Lauren Koslow in the role. She stays for only five episodes. So Jill stays with Billy. She needs to hear about the new grandson she has on the way, and that he and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) are pregnant and engaged, all that good stuff. And Jill gets an update on Chancellor and Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) is appointed CEO.
Nate gets an offer at Y&R
So on Friday 26 June at Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) gets an offer to work on a special project. So we’ll see if Victor recruited him to help Nikki. Remember, she wanted Nate to operate on her, but he had to remind Nikki that he’s not operating anymore. Victor learns something new about Nikki’s diagnosis. We’ll see if Claire spills some more tea or maybe he gets it from Nikki or even Nate.
Kyle and Jack also take a big risk where Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) is worried and they move forward with their plan to save Diane. It may be when they move on Young and restless. So they will try to get into Dr. Markham Asylum.
Young and the Restless: July Sweeps in Full Gear – June 29th to July 3rd
So, for the week of June 29th to July 3rd, this is actually the first full week of July. So look for heightened drama. Also, Friday, July 3 is a federal holiday for independence day, which falls on Saturday this year. So there is a possibility of a repeat. So keep an eye on your DVR just in case.
Victor will also try to make amends with Nikki and do everything he can to save her sight. Hopefully Victor will insist that Nikki come back home to the new ranch house while she goes through this crisis and surgery and recovery and all that. Nick is really struggling and a relapse is on the horizon for him. Plus, Cane takes the CEO chair at Chancellor. I think he is really going to love Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) is his boss. That way he can flirt with her every chance he gets. And Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will continue to be hateful about everything.
Nate Goes Back on Medicine on Y&R?
We’ll see if helping Nikki revives Nates passion for medicine. Remember, Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) encouraged him about it recently. I also wonder if Nikki will be upset with Claire for telling Victor her secret or secretly happy that he knows since he’s behaving better after finding out. More should come to light Dr. Markham and his bizarre twisted arrangement with crazy Patty. When Jack and Kyle get Diane away from Markham, expect a big old meltdown from Patty when she finds out she lost her chance with Jack. Not that she really had a chance.
Lauren Koslow also ends her run as Jill, and Jack is eager to kick Patty out of the Abbott mansion and move Diane home and have a full and legitimate reconciliation of their marriage. But even when Jack saves Diane, I don’t expect Patty to go away quietly.
