The Love Island star dubbed the “Princess of Ireland” will make her Casa Amor debut this weekend
ITV has finally announced its Casa Amor line-up as Love Island fans are left “screaming” at their television screens.
Tensions continue to rise in the luxury villa after a game of Tea, Receipts and Truth sends shockwaves through the couples. Just last night (Friday, June 26) a reunion saw new couples formed – but another popular twist is set to rock the villa.
In a preview clip ahead of Sunday’s installment (June 28), a string of new bombs was announced as Casa Amor finally returns. Twist sees the bombshell trying to win over an OG Islander in hopes of securing a ticket in the main villa.
Those who are not picked are in a vulnerable position as they face being dumped. But as the countdown continues, fans have already spotted some familiar faces, including Irish influencer Charleen Murphy.
With the announcement, one viewer commented on Instagram: “Princess of Ireland”, while another echoed: “watching @charleenmurphy on screen is what I think boys want when their team scores a goal.”
A third added: “Best day ever @charleenmurphy.” A fourth wrote: “About bleeding time! G’wan the Charleen! I only watched to cheer her on.”
Here’s everything to know about the Casa bombshell and where you recognize her from.
Who is Charleen Murphy?
Charleen Murphy is a content creator hailing from Ireland. The 27-year-old has amassed a large following on Instagram and TikTok, with over 400,000 on each platform, and frequently posts fashion and lifestyle content for her fans.
She also has her own podcast ‘Hold My Drink’ with friend Ellie Kelly as they tease: “Think the girl’s bathroom on a night out, or the group chat the next morning. That’s the vibe of our podcast.”
Charleen is well-known in Ireland and is also friends with some famous faces, including Love Island’s Lucinda Strafford, with the two sharing snaps together on social media. Commenting on an Instagram post, Lucinda told Charleen: “love you so much”.
As a full-time influencer, fans are excited to see her back on their screens after rumors and speculation about her arrival. According to EVOKE, Charleen actually applied for the first winter series of the show to air in South Africa back in 2020.
The star has often been labeled as Ireland’s version of Molly Mae Hague, rising to fame from her teenage fashion blog before transcending to social media success.
What has Charleen said about the Love Island villa?
After breaking up with her ex, footballer Dano Mandroiu, several months ago, Charleen is now looking for love as she sets her sights on Kavan, Aidan, Lorenzo and Sean. She said: “They’ve got a bit of my type in each of them, but I think I’ll have to see it and actually have a proper chat with them.
“Kavan, I would say that out of all of them is my actual type on paper. I’m excited to get to know them all. I think everyone owes it to themselves to see different contexts and if something doesn’t work, maybe it’s time to move on to the next thing or explore something.
“I think Kavan did the right thing not to close it so early with Jasmine because I think you have to explore in there to see if there’s someone better for you, that’s the whole point of Love Island. I think his head could definitely turn!”
What is Charleen’s Instagram?
Charleen’s Instagram handle is @charleenmurphy, where she posts her content to her 483l followers. She is joined by other familiar faces including last year’s Lauren Wood and Harrison Solomon.
Love Island airs Sunday to Friday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX
