For Dennis Quaid, his lifestyle in Nashville has more substance.
The “Far from Heaven” actor, 72, shared the real reason he and wife Laura Savoie, 33, left their longtime Los Angeles residence in 2020 for Tennessee.
“It used to be such a big city and the ’90s were nice,” Quaid told Fox News Digital for CMA Fest this weekend.
He added that LA has “been a little down” lately and he “feels like people are paying these taxes for no services.”
Quaid explained that 2025 forest fires revealed “all the things that are going on that need to be taken care of.”
At the time, Quaid was forced to evacuate his Brentwood neighborhood home in LA.
More than 18,000 homes and structures were destroyed by the flames while 31 people died.
“So people are — people are angry and half angry and they half want to give up, to tell you the truth,” Quaid continued to the outlet.
Calling himself “one of thousands” who have fled the City of Angels, the “Parent Trap” insisted he really “hopes the city comes back.”
“I really do. It used to be such a great city. It was. It was also a great community. And something has happened. People need to be inspired there.”
Quaid also weighed in on the LA mayoral race, saying, “I hope Pratt wins.”
When previously asked by the same outlet why he supported the reality star’s campaign for mayor of the second largest city in the United States in May, Quaid replied, “Why? What are you talking about? Why? Just look around, man.”
But as of Monday night, the two best candidates advance for the November runoff are Karen Bass, the incumbent mayor, and Nithya Raman.
Pratt, 42, has yet to comment on his current standing in the race.
The Pacific Palisades home of “Hills” alum and wife Heidi Montag was one of many that burned down in the catastrophic fires.
