After Reality Blurb’s exclusive report from a tipster who Frank Catania no longer filmed for The Real Housewives of New Jersey, we reached out to Frank to talk more about why he wasn’t filming.
Specifically, we asked about rumours Teresa Giudice had something to do with him no longer filming the show, as well as recent rumblings on social media that his ex-wife, Dolores Cataniaand her fiancé, Paul Connellhad something to do with it.
“Did I hear those rumors?” Frank said about Teresa having something to do with it. “Yes, I did. But you know, did I ever hear anything concrete? No.”
“One thing I can say, if anything was said to production, I’m 100% sure it wasn’t Dolores and Paulie, and I want that cleared up,” Frank said explicitly. “Dolores and Paulie have always indicated that they would Brittany Mattessich and I included in family scenes.”
Frank reiterated that he knows it’s not Dolores and Paulie who didn’t want him filming.
“To be clear, Bravo didn’t tell me they didn’t want me to film either,” he elaborated. “There’s just been scenes that I would normally be included in that I haven’t been included in.”
Frank reflected that in the world of reality TV, “anything can happen.”
“And for someone not to want me to film? I have no idea,” he added. “I get along with everyone. Did Luis (Ruelas) and I have my problems in the past? 100%. But I’m a peacemaker and we moved on, so I’d be disappointed if I ever found out anything was said.”
Frank concluded by noting that he was filming RHONJ “because I enjoyed it and I enjoyed hanging out with the guys.”
“I also loved when it was a good scene for my family… That’s the part I loved,” he elaborated. “There’s simply no animosity and no drama. But if it’s all gone tomorrow? I’m okay with that.”
In the first report from Reality Blurb, the source claimed that Teresa “didn’t want” Frank “to be a part of the show”
“Teresa is still angry about what Frank did or tried to do to Luis and therefore did not want him to be a part of Season 15,” they added. “And she got what she asked for.”
