Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key worked on a new one Police Academy movie, but the project was reportedly canceled for a very serious reason.

On Funny you ask with Ike Barinholtz podcast (via Black), host Ike Barinholtz revealed that he co-wrote the script for Police Academybut after a police officer killed Michael Brown in 2014, everyone involved realized that making a comedy movie about cops was no longer a good idea.
