Brooke Shields and Amalia Williamson has delivered TV’s latest dynamic duo You’re killing me. Bestselling author Allie (Shields) and podcaster and writer Andi (Williamson) reluctantly team up to tackle a small New England town’s eyebrow-raising mysteries and murders. And despite their differences, the two unstoppable women have formed an unlikely alliance throughout Season 1 that has captivated viewers from the start.
As the debut season of the Acorn TV series continues, Hollywood life has the full episode guide for season 1 and everything else you need to know about You kill me – including a brand new exclusive clip from the upcoming episode – below.
Who are Brooke Shields & Amalia Williamson’s characters in You’re killing me?
As previously mentioned, Shields plays Allie, a novelist with years of experience whose movie deal falls through at the beginning of the season. Williamson, for her part, plays Andi, a 20-year-old podcaster and aspiring author whose podcast brought her fame, but a reputation she doesn’t want.
As the two women clash quite a bit throughout Season 1, Shields spoke exclusively Hollywood life about Andi and Allie’s dynamic.
“Well, the head was what made it really interesting because you have two generations, very different, and they can learn from each other,” Shields said on You’re killing me red carpet premiere. “She makes fun of me, I make fun of her, and that’s where the dialogue starts, and it’s fun, you know what I mean? It’s fun to look to not take those differences so seriously, but actually learn from the other.”
For her part, Williamson pointed out that Andi and Allie “need each other to succeed in all areas of life,” despite their differences.
“I think she has a really hard time at first, just in terms of their generational differences,” Williamson shared Hollywood life. “Her mom left when she was so young, so I think at first she finds Ali’s character really, really annoying, but then she realizes that she’s kind of exactly what Andi needs in terms of her career, in terms of her romantic relationships, and then in terms of a mother figure.”
If you’re a mother or a daughter – or better yet, both – you can’t help but enjoy the witty mayhem between Shields and Williamson in You’re killing me.
