Many of Scotland’s World Cup players are married or in long-term relationships – with their partners cheering them on this weekend

Scotland are now just days away from theirs first WC for 28 years with the team set to play their first game against Haiti this weekend at Boston Stadium, usually called Gillette Stadium, in Massachusetts.

The match, which kicks off at 9pm local time on Saturday 13 June and will be broadcast live on the BBC at 2am on Sunday 14 June, is the first of Scotland’s three matches as they face Morocco and Brazil later this month.

Thousands of members of Tartan army arrive in the US this week to cheer on Scotland’s World Cup squad for the first time since 1998. And among them will be the team’s biggest supporters of them all – their families and their loved ones.

Some of the WAGs have already shared posts on social media as they travel to Boston to cheer on their other half. Many of the Scottish players are in relationships or married, and their wives and girlfriends stand behind them all the way.

Summer Harl

Scotland goalkeeper Craig Gordon married his wife Summer in July 2025 in an intimate ceremony after dating for eight years.

The pair originally met on Celtic TV while Summer was the main presenter and Craig was the club’s goalkeeper, but they didn’t start dating until she left the role.

The couple share three sons together, Ace, Axel and little two-month-old Archer, all of whom will be supporting their dad on his World Cup debut.

Gordon, 43, who is the oldest player in Scotland’s World Cup squad and in the tournament, is also father to his two daughters, Freya and Emma, ​​from his previous marriage to childhood sweetheart, Jennifer.

Scotland midfielder Scott McTominay is in a long-term relationship with his girlfriend Cam Reading.

The Lancaster-born player, 29, whose father is Scottish, has been dating the model and the head of wealth management firm Fortress Capital Partners since 2022.

Cam also has a big social media presence, boasting over 89,000 followers on Instagram, where she regularly shares snaps of her luxurious getaways with McTominay.

The couple live in Naples as McTominay plays as a midfielder for Serie A club Napoli, and Italian fans have taken quite a shine to Cam, often dubbing her the ‘Queen of Italy’.

Rachel Robertson

Scotland captain Andy Robertson married his childhood sweetheart Rachel Roberts in 2022 after over ten years of dating.

The pair are believed to have first met at school after attending St Ninian’s High School in Giffnock together.

They tied the knot in the Algarve in Portugal and have since welcomed three children, all born during Robertson’s time at Liverpool.

And wife of the Scottish star, 32, Roberts, 31, is successful in her own right.

Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, she graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2016. She also owns her own gymnastics sportswear brand, Orosport.

Georgie Christie

Scotland midfielder Ryan Christie joined his wife Georgie Bell in the summer of 2025 in a stunning wedding in Hampshire.

The former Aberdeen star, 31, who now plays for AFC Bournemouth, has been with Scottish Highlands native and self-taught painter Georgie since early 2019.

Georgie, also 31, regularly shares her impressive artwork online with a separate Instagram page dedicated to her painting creations.

The couple also share their son Leo together, who was born in July 2023.

Robyn Emma Keen

Glasgow-born defender Jack Hendry tied the knot with his wife Robyn in the summer of 2025.

The couple became husband and wife on their seventh anniversary in Tuscany, Italy.

Their engagement came in July 2024 after the couple announced they were expecting their first child.

Jack, 31, and Robyn welcomed their son Archie that same year in October.

The mum-of-one is a model and social media influencer with over 31,000 followers on Instagram. She is also believed to be a trained clinical psychologist.

Sarah Stokes

Clydebank-born star John McGinn has been in a long-term relationship with his fiancée Sara Stokes since 2014.

Not much is known about the couple’s relationship apart from their engagement in 2022 as Sara prefers to keep her life out of the public eye.

However, the pair are known to live outside Birmingham together after McGinn, now captain of the team, moved to Aston Villa FC in 2018.

John has previously spoken of his admiration for Sara since their move south, saying: “When she came down here with me, she thought, ‘Everyone thinks I’m just going to blow John off, that I’m coming down here on holiday’.

“So she decided to ‘thing it’ and did three years at uni and she’s now a social worker. There are times when I’ve been so wrapped up in my own little bubble that I forget how harsh her reality is when she’s working with kids going through terrible times.”
