Marcia Cross gave fans a glimpse into the latest Desperate Housewives reunion in Paris.
“I will never be able to express how absolutely touched I was and still am by the tsunami of love that poured out of everyone at the convention,” the actress, 64, wrote via Instagram Wednesday, June 10. “Each one of you touches me with your hearts and souls. And the reunion with our co-stars was pure heaven.”
Cross, which played Bree Van de Kamp on Desperate Housewives for eight seasons, was one of several stars who attended the fan convention for the ABC drama. Her post included a video of the cast in attendance as they posed for a group photo.
The Melrose Place alum sat in between Richard Burgi and Doug Savant. Mark Moses and Cody Kasch also sat in the same row. Both James Denton and Brenda Strong stood behind Cross as they smiled for pictures. Rear row also included Charlie Carver, Beau Mirchoff, Nicolette Sheridan, Josh Henderson, Andrea Bowen and Shawn Pyfrom.
Neal McDonough was also at the reunion, but could not be seen in the group photo. He previously featured in additional social media clips for the event.
Cross shared a photo of her in a gold statement dress and a muffin basket she received. She also expressed her appreciation to the fans who took the time to attend the event.
“Thank you for coming and for your space and patience.. your presence and gifts!! I still can’t believe this happened,” she continued. “From now on 🫶🏻 that symbol will always be ours #ifyouknowyouknowdh2026 All my love. Marcia.”
Fans took to Cross’ comments to gulp about the experience and share their excitement for the reunion.
“Your hug was so comforting. I’m so glad Bree let me meet the incredible person you are, Marcia! Thank you for coming to the convention. It was very special for everyone who, like me, has a deep connection with this series. All our love to you ❤️,” one attendee wrote, while another gushed it was so incredible and you’re so amazing.”
Aptly named “The Desperate Con”, the convention took place in Paris last month. The two-day event marked the first time the show’s stars reunited as a large group nearly 14 years after Desperate Housewives final. Cross was the only main cast member to appear. Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman and Eva Longoriawho also starred in the series, was absent.
While Hatcher, Huffman, Longoria and Cross all played friends on the show, it was rumored that there was tension behind the scenes during filming. When the show ended in 2012, it was reported that Longoria, Huffman, Cross and Vanessa Williams — who joined the series in Season 7 — teamed up to give farewell gifts to the show’s cast when it ended. Hatcher was apparently not involved and addressed the alleged tension with her co-stars.
“I will never reveal the true and complicated journey of all of us, but I wish everyone on this show the best of luck,” she wrote in an email to TV Guide Magazineat that time. “Marc created out of thin air a majestic street called Wisteria Lane with its picket fence, its flowers that are always in bloom … and four truly complimentary characters: a selfish girl, a hasty woman, a repressed control freak and a soul-searching, well-meaning fumbler. Those four characters and the actresses who played them together in a way that seemed to merge in a lifetime kind of way.'”
