Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash may be able to officially squash someone split rumours as they are reportedly moving into a new home with their six children. While the pair were put through the rumor mill earlier this year, sources claim they are about to take on a huge renovation project together.
But while the TV stars are said to have their sights set on an eight-bedroom Victorian mansion in Essex, it means they will have to say goodbye to their home Pickle Cottage. Holding many memories for the couple, Stacey and Joe even got married in their garden in a private ceremony in 2022.
While Pickle Cottage was the home they built their family in, sources say Stacey and Joe have fallen “in love” with the new property. Said to sit on 30 acres of land, The Mirror reports that it also has a lake and a swimming pool.

However, the mansion is said to cost almost double the price of Pickle Cottage, which was bought for £1.3 million. The extra space will be ideal for the large family as the couple share three children – Rex, seven, Rose, four, and three-year-old Bella.
Both TV presenters also have children from previous relationships. Stacey has two older sons – Zachary, 18, and Leighton, 13 – while Joe has 18-year-old Harry.
Speaking to The Sun, the source said: “They saw the house and fell in love with it. It has extra space for the kids. Pickle Cottage only has five bedrooms. They have six children and then they need a room to themselves.
“It gives Stacey a chance to do more of her amazing DIY work too. She has a great eye for interiors. This house needs a bit of love and work to make it the absolute dream home where they can make new memories.”
The source also added that this move will hopefully dispel rumors about it Stacey and Joe is having marital problems or is getting divorced.
The rumors started circulating back in March when Stacey was spotted out without her wedding ring on. While Stacey was initially seen brushing off the speculation, she later took a break from social media after it emerged again that she is not legally married to Joe.
Taking the time to once again explain their weddings, Stacey continued Instagram: “Everyone knows we didn’t get a legal marriage certificate. When we got married here. I told everyone when we had our ceremony, we had a religious ceremony in our garden, because you can’t legally get married in your own garden without making it a public space.
“And the whole reason we want to have a private ceremony here at our house is because legally the press wasn’t allowed to stalk us and take pictures and release stuff and be there. And I said that publicly. I said we weren’t going to be legally married here.
“This is a religious blessing and ceremony for our family and friends to celebrate our love together. And we will be legally married at a later date.”
She added: “To get married anywhere legally, the venue must have a ‘civil ceremony’ licence. One of the requirements of this license is that the premises must be ‘readily accessible’ for ceremonies.
“As this is our private family home and we need it to stay that way, we couldn’t go for that option. So we’re having a relaxed private blessing in front of our closest friends and family and a ceremony of our love for each other and we’ll register our marriage legally after.”
Stacey and Joe first met on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here in 2010 when Stacey won the title of Queen of the Jungle. However, they only ended up becoming a couple in 2016.
