As we approach the five month anniversary of The Disappearance of Nancy Guthriethe updates are coming fast and furious. Unfortunately, authorities appear to be no closer to finding the octogenarian who disappeared in the dead of night on February 1. However, this does not mean that no one has information. An anonymous whistleblower has contacted TMZ about information they claim to have about the people who abducted the mother of Today show co-host Savannah Guthrie. They just sent another letter. Here’s everything we know.

A new letter regarding Nancy Guthrie has hit a news outlet

TMZ has received another email in the Nancy Guthrie case. This one comes from an anonymous sender who claims to have video evidence linked to the 84-year-old’s disappearance. In the latest note, the sender says the footage shows the “main guy” with Nancy and claims to have the names, addresses and ages of the alleged abductors.

The author claims that a phone kept in a “safe place” contains all the information authorities need to apprehend the people behind the kidnapping. The dispatcher says the same phone holds a short video of the “main guy” with Nancy on what he claims was the last day she was alive. In return for the phone’s location is the sender requesting a bitcoin.

TMZ has reported that it responded to the letter and requested a single screenshot to prove the claims. The sender has not yet responded again.

Is the note authentic?

While it’s unclear if the sender actually has information about Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance, TMZ has confirmed that the note came from the same person who sent earlier messages proclaiming to have information about the abduction. The outlet notes that the bitcoin wallet’s address and alias remain consistent, suggesting the same sender is behind all the letters.

This is far from the first email to come from the sender. The anonymous writer first contacted TMZ days after Nancy’s disappearance. The initial messages emphasized a sense of urgency for the information, giving onlookers hope that the octogenarian was alive. However, follow-up emails suggested that it was no longer an urgent issue, indicating that Nancy may have died. Another message pointed to a grave site, while another suggested she had been taken to Sonora, Mexico, a border state several hours from Tucson, where Nancy was last seen.

While TMZ has floated the idea of paying for the information, the FBI has not, at least publicly. This story is still in development.
