Jelly Roll has taken over the country rap music scene and his success is in no small part thanks to his incredible wife, Bunny XO. The pair appeared more in love than ever, despite facing real struggles together, but sadly Jelly Roll filed for divorce from Bunnie in May 2026, TMZ reported the following month.
Sources told the outlet that the separation was a mutual decision. However, it is unclear what exactly led to their split.
In a candid 2025 moment of “Human School” podcastJelly admitted to cheating on Bunnie, calling it “one of the worst moments” of his adult life.
Bunnie has also opened up about their journey. In August 2023, she shared a video via Instagram of them walk hand in hand, writing: “This man and I have been through (sic) some sh**. Most days we are great, some days we are off. But through (sic) it all he is the most consistent person I have ever had in my life. I never knew how to make healthy love before him. But I know (sic) one thing, I will never do it without him (how to”).
She captioned the post: “Thank you for being the Zaddies of all Zaddies Mr. Rollskiiii 🤍✨”
Jelly Roll has performed all over the country, including at tons of award shows, and Bunnie has been his date for tons of those performances. She went with him to CMT Music Awards in April 2024, and they looked blissfully happy together as they posed for pictures on the red carpet. They tied the knot in 2016, renewed their vows in the same chapel in Las Vegas and marked their ninth wedding anniversary together in September 2025.

Bunnie hosts a great podcast
With a reported age difference of 6 years and Jelly born in 1986, it appears that Bunnie was born in 1992, per Taste country nights. The outlet reported Bunnie as an “exotic model/host” and a “high school dropout who kick-started her career on YouTube.” She parlayed the success into an even more successful podcast called The Dumb Blonde Podcast.
Of course, her social media footprint is no slouch either. Bunnie boasts more than 1 million followers on her Instagram!

Bunnie loves getting to know the most authentic version of the people she brings to her podcasts. In an Instagram post on April 27, where she relaxed on a bean bag in the middle of nowhere by a skimpy bodysuit (seen here), she talked about her interest in unraveling people’s layers.
“I love unmade beds, I love when people cry and can’t be anything but honest in that moment. I love the look in people’s eyes when they realize they’re in love,” she wrote.
“I love the way people look when they first wake up and they’ve forgotten their surroundings. I love the gasp people take when their favorite character dies. I love when people close their eyes and drift off somewhere in the clouds. I fall in love with candid moments all the time. I fall in love with their breakdowns & their smudged makeup & their daydreams. The bottom line is that she’s always too beautiful.”
How did Jelly Roll & Bunnie XO meet?
Jelly Roll married Bunnie, real name Bunnie DeFordin August 2016 after allegedly first meeting at one of his shows in Las Vegas, NV., according to Music chaos.
“We hit it off,” Jelly Roll said, adding, “She said she fell in love with the saddest eyes in the room.”
The meet-cute was electric to say the least, according to the rapper. “I felt her soul,” he continued. “When I hugged her, I could just feel the authenticity of her. I could tell it wasn’t an act.”

Does Jelly Roll have kids?
Jelly was a father of two before his path collided with Bunnie. A previous relationship resulted in a son named Noah Buddy DeFordwho was born in 2016, and a different kind of romance resulted in his daughter Bailee Ann DeFord was welcomed in May 2008.
“(Bunnie) helped me raise my daughter,” Jelly Roll shared Music chaos. “We’ve had custody of her for the past nine years. It just takes a really selfless person to help raise a child they didn’t give birth to.” The outlet reported that Bunnie is also Noah’s stepmother.

In a July 2023 post, Jelly Roll made no secret of his high regard for his wife. “A RECIPE POST FOR BUNNIE!” he captioned a photo of the pair snuggling backstage, with Bunnie rocking a racy bodysuit. “Much is often said or made about my story, but the truth is that I have never been more moved by a story than the story of my wife. Seeing what this woman has overcome and her passion and determination to be something better has inspired me from the moment I met her.”
He continued, in part, gushing: “She saved me in one of the darkest times of my life. She’s been nothing but supportive. I remember her sitting at our kitchen table and her talking to me about the vision she had for starting the ‘Dumb Blonde’ podcast and how that was her way of ending up working in the sex industry forever. I watched her build her own platform, and her own podcast team, and her own podcast team, and from her own podcast team, and from her own podcast team, she wanted to do it on her own – she didn’t want to just be ‘Jelly Roll’s wife’ – she wanted to build her own empire to empower women and share her story in hopes that it might motivate others to believe they could change their lives and be happy.”
He added that she would be on tour with him and host her very own Meet and Greets with fans.
Jelly Roll Called One of Bunny’s Exes ‘Abusive’
“She was with some violent douchebag and they came to a show and we were backstage,” Jelly Roll said of first meeting Bunnie during an interview with King and the Sting and the Wing Clips. “They broke up and I’m not going to act like I shot my shot. She just shot hers. We had mutual friends. She said, ‘Yo. Just put me in Jelly.'”
