Jenelle Evans spent the days leading up to knee surgery trading insults with her long-gone ex-husband, Courtland Rogers. This is all that has happened so far.
Courtland Rogers showed up to insult his ex-wife
Courtland Rogers was very briefly married to Jenelle Evans. That relationship ended more than ten years ago, and everyone apparently moved on. That didn’t stop Rogers from brooding over the long-ago marriage, seemingly out of nowhere. He reignited the feud by taking to X (formerly Twitter) to write: “Still can’t believe I was legally married to that teenage mom chic.”
Although Rogers didn’t tag Evans in the post, it didn’t take long for her to catch on. When she found out, she couldn’t help herself. Evans appeared to ask, “How many times do I have to block you?!” The slap didn’t make much sense considering he was clearly blocked if she was able to answer him.
The drama became even more intense
That was all it took the former flames to take things nuclear. The conversation quickly turned to the miscarriage Evans suffered during their marriage after a resurgent accusation from fans claimed she had faked the medical episode. Jenelle clapped back, insisting it was real, that she had hospital records, and that Rogers had been charged with battery of an unborn child during a fight between the exes.
She even brought another ex into it, crediting ex-fiancé Gary Head for being by her side in the hospital back then while taking a thinly veiled shot at Rogers for, she said, not showing up the same way. Rogers has long disputed her account, having previously claimed she faked the abortion, and he has suggested he has plenty of stories to tell about their brief marriage. Evans, meanwhile, maintains she has documentation of his abuse.
A turbulent history and a pattern of feuding while he is ill
Evans and Rogers married in December 2012, but the relationship was chaotic and short-lived, ending in divorce in late 2013. Their union played out against the backdrop of legal troubles and Evans’ substance abuse problems. Rogers has also struggled with addiction over the years, though he revealed on X in June that he has more than 900 days of sobriety under his belt.
While we’re not sure what exactly prompted Rogers to comment on Evans again, the feud comes at an interesting time. Jenelle escalated the spat as she deals with a recurring knee injury that sends her into surgery. It’s also not the first time she’s chosen to shop for barbs online while dealing with a medical issue. Just months ago, she started an online fight with her former friend, Tori Rhyne, while she was hospitalized with respiratory problems.
