At first it was only Gisele’s son Benjamin – whom she shares with ex Tom together with daughter Vivian – who was registered for the jiu-jitsu classes. But Joaquim eventually convinced the mother of two to join, she said Dust magazine in 2022, per E! News.
“At first I didn’t even consider it to myself,” she told the publication at the time. “But when I took Ben to first grade and started talking to Joaquim, I realized it was much more than self-defense.”
