Kailyn Lowry gets honest about the reality behind his unconventional family.
The mother-of-seven recently reflected on what it’s really like to be with four different men and admitted that her life turned out very differently than she once imagined.
Opening up about custody battles, past relationships and an ex she still considers the love of her life, Kailyn Lowry gave a rare insight into the complicated road that got her here.

Speaking about her four co-parenting relationships, Kailyn Lowry said that not everything is perfect. In an interview on the “Casual Chaos” podcast with Gia Giudice, she admitted that she only communicates with one of her children’s fathers via email, while communication with the other is “super tumultuous.”
The war has cost her “nearly a million dollars” in a single instance, Us Magazine reports. She also cited social media gossip sites as another source of stress, saying it’s easy for people to bring it into the house and have it affect her children’s lives.
Looking back at the obstacles, Lowry noticed that co-parenting is challenging even under the best of circumstances, and the person you choose to raise children with can affect the entire parenting experience.
The doting mother says living next to her ex makes co-parenting easier

Not every co-parenting relationship in Lowry’s life is complicated. The mother-of-seven revealed that she and ex-fiancé Elijah Scott, with whom she shares three children, have found an arrangement that works surprisingly well.
Although they no longer live together, the former partners still share a driveway and live next door to each other, so much so that their children are often seen playing together.
Lowry said the arrangement is what the best of both worlds would look like for separating couples since they haven’t had to deal with a lawsuit, child support disputes or other conflicts that could arise.
The unusual living arrangement has become a running joke in her household, and Lowry admits the situation is so unconventional it feels like the perfect premise for a reality show.
One Baby Daddy was the love of Kailyn Lowry’s life

While Lowry keeps things on the straight with most of her exes, she once shocked fans with a bombshell admission about one of them. TV shows Ace reported that she referred to her ex, Chris Lopez, as the love of her life during an episode of her “Baby Mamas No Drama” podcast.
Lopez is the father of her sons, Lux and Creed. Their relationship was notoriously volatile and dominated headlines for years. When she heard her call him the love of her life, fans and fellow cast members were floored.
She also confessed that she would have stayed with Lopez if he hadn’t fathered a child with someone else. That single detail was the breaking point that ended things between them forever.
Her son’s brave decision to come out on his own terms

Away from courtrooms, Lowry’s family has also navigated deeply personal milestones. Back in June 2025, The Blast reported that her oldest son, now known as Elliott, came out publicly in a touching two-part episode of her “Barely Famous” podcast.
Isaac, as he was known before he changed his name, now sat down with his mother for a plain and honest discussion about identity, pride and the pressures of being in the public eye. He reiterated his personal choice to speak up and when to do so.
The explosion covered the story of Lowry’s heartfelt message to parents of LGBTQ+ children. She encouraged them to “love your children unconditionally” and to “put your children’s safety and happiness above all faith.
Kailyn Lowry left ‘Teen Mom 2’ and never looked back

The co-parenting chaos wasn’t the only chapter Lowry decided to close. Back in 2022, The Blast reported that she was walking away from “Teen Mom 2” after more than a decade on the show, leaving fans shocked.
She broke the news during the series’ reunion and told producers it was time to move on. The show, she explained, no longer aligned with the goals she had set for herself or the direction she wanted her life to take.
The explosion covered her exit at the time, noting that she had no interest in returning. She shifted her focus entirely to podcasting and has since built a thriving media career entirely on her own terms.
With seven kids, four exes, a million-dollar legal bill and a son who made history on her podcast, can Kailyn Lowry finally settle into the quiet life she says she’s been chasing all along?
