Lorraine Kelly is ready to cheer on the Scottish football team in their match against Morocco as she shares a video from Gillette Stadium in Boston. As the team prepare to play their second group stage game, the Scottish presenter admits her nerves are “shattered”.
The 66-year-old caught one fly to Massachusetts straight after her talk show slot on Wednesday morning (June 16). While the star has admitted to being nervous about the game, she has been seen getting involved in all the Tartan Army celebrations ahead of the match.
With kick-off just minutes away, Lorraine stepped up Instagram to share a video from her seat at the Boston stadium. Adding a caption, she wrote: “We did it!!! Nerves are shattered but we’re here. Come on SCOTLAND!!!”

Looking stylish in her red tartan top and a pair of big sunglasses, Lorraine said in the video: “So I made it, we’re here. We’re just waiting for kick-off.”
Taking a deep breath to help calm herself, she added, “Nerves are kicking in. Listen to that great song. Runrig, Loch Lomond. Hope it brings us luck.”
Other Scotland supporters have also shared their support in the comments section of the video, with one person saying: “Can you hear us all here in Scotland. We have absolutely everything crossed for them!”
While another highlighted the kindness of Tartan armyand added: “My son there too. Was alone in Boston before Camp America and some friendly members of the tartan army bought him a ticket. We’re blown away. Come with the ladies.”
Throughout the day, Lorraine has been popping up around Boston and getting a sense of the bond that is forming between the Scots and the Americans.
Speaking to STV Sport, she said the experience has been “emotional and brilliant”, even though she has only been in the city for a few days.
She added: “I’ve never been more proud to be Scottish honestly and everyone in Boston just wants us to stay. They don’t want us to go.”
However, Lorraine’s trips to the stadium may have been a bit peculiar as she admitted that getting to the stadium is very difficult.
Sharing her interview with Heart Scotland on social media, she explained: “It’s very difficult to get to the stadium. You can get there but the trains are full. The buses are full.”
In an amusing turn of events, she added that she and her husband had managed to get a seat on a “Tartan Army Party Bus”.
Many fans were quick to comment on her choice of transport, with one person writing: “It will be the most fun way to travel to Lorraine.”
While one fan begged her to film the experience, another praised: “Lorraine can shoot her way in anywhere.”
