Love Island sparks ‘fix’ claims as fans left ‘so annoyed’

ITV viewers have called the ‘unfair’ treatment of an islander during the latest house challenge

Love Island has attracted ‘fix’ demands for an islander found himself at the center of a brutal challenge.

The The ITV series returned for its 13th season earlier this month and every week has been packed with drama. Friday (June 26) night’s episode was no different as the villa continued their game of tea, receipts and truths.

The game involved contestants taking turns deciding whether to expose Public Tea or confront Villa Receipts. For the public option, the group was presented with a social media comment from the public and had to correctly identify which islander the post referred to.

Meanwhile, receipts required the group to identify which fellow player made an incriminating comment and who they were talking about.

Although fans were completely invested in the game, many have complained that most of the secrets revealed seemed purposeful AND girl Jasmine.

The 27-year-old has been in hot water in the villa and with viewers over her recent treatment of partner Kavan. Although she consistently assures him that she is invested in their couple, Jasmine often flirts with her villa ex Lorenzo.

This has sparked backlash from fans at home and their opinions have been read out to the entire cast. One of the public comments claimed that Jasmine and Lorenzo were “having an affair in plain sight”, while another slammed Jasmine for encouraging Tommy to spit in her mouth during the Heart Rate Challenge.

The contestants also heard Jasmine’s own comments about her relationship with Kavan, including one where she expressed regret over the way her partnership with Lorenzo ended.

Viewers at home have rushed to Jasmine’s defense after the challenge, with many claiming other islanders have also made mistakes.

On X, formerly Twitter, one said: “I’m annoyed why are we getting Jasmine lashings and no Mica and Samraj lashings. @LoveIsland is counting your f****** days.”

Another agreed: “Again Jasmine! just producers fixing this, crazy we didn’t get the bad comment from Samraj! #loveislanduk.”

A third viewer added: “TF why is 99% of this challenge aimed at Jasmine??? Because I’m sure there are more weird receipts and opinions about the other islanders. #loveisland #loveislanduk.”

And a fourth fan echoed: “No I’m actually sad do they hate Jasmine or something wtf??????? they want her to cry? #loveislanduk.”

But other viewers have taken a different view. Some believe the challenge was necessary to give Kavan clarity about his relationship, as he has questioned their bond.

“This task is saving Kav. He needed to see all this #loveisland #loveislanduk,” said one.

Love Island is now streaming on ITVX
