A new Netflix romance released this week is a must-see, but make sure you have tissues handy
A fresh Netflix movie is moving viewers to tears and has soared up the streaming charts just hours after its debut.
Landing on the platform this Friday (June 19), the new romantic comedy with a great ensemble cast and an affecting story is in second place on the streamer’s movie rankings.
Its only rival is the disturbing true crime documentary Maternal Instincts, making this new original an essential watch for anyone looking for something more uplifting for their weekend evening entertainment.
Be aware though, as Voicemails for Isabelle opens with a devastating emotional blow as protagonist Jill (portrayed by Zoey Deutch) loses her beloved sister Isabelle (Ciara Bravo) within the first few minutes, reports the mirror.
Finding it hard to come to terms with losing her best friend, she begins recording voicemails on Isabelle’s former number, unaware that it has been reassigned to Austin-based realtor Wes (Nick Robinson).
Gradually developing feelings for the endearing voice he hears, Wes decides to arrange a meeting with Jill in San Francisco, but can his unrevealed truth undermine their budding romance?
Also starring comedy icon Nick Offerman as Jill’s overbearing pastry chef Bastien, Voicemails for Isabelle is full of emotion and laughs. Still, the film’s emotional heart and several nail-biting plot developments have left audiences in tears as they tuned in en masse the moment it hit Netflix.
One X user admitted: “As an older sister, “Voicemails for Isabelle” RUINED ME!”
Another noted: “Well Voicemails to Isabelle made me an emotional wreck. It was super cute though.”
“Voicemails for Isabelle – the new Netflix movie that really took 13 minutes to make me cry and was an absolute joy to watch from start to finish,” wrote another viewer.

“It’s deep, but also such a feel good movie! I highly recommend it. I loved it. This might be my new favorite rom-com!”
