Teen Mom UK is back on screens with a new series marking a decade since the program was first broadcast.
The reality show follows Amber Butler, Chloe PattonMia Boardman and Sassi Simmonds, who originally appeared as teenage mothers in 2016.
Fast forward to today and they are all mature and dealing with the challenges of raising pre-teens and welcomes new additions to their families – the focus of Teen Mom UK Series 13. The opening of the latest series dropped today (June 23), with three more episodes to follow.
Viewers can tune in every Tuesday on the streaming platform Paramount+. According to the show’s description: “It’s been 10 incredible years with Teen Mom UK! They’ve grown up, but so have their babies.. and now our teen mums are trying to navigate having tweenagers! There are fresh starts with new houses, new boyfriends and new babies, but sometimes the old problems just won’t go away…”
Those who have followed the mothers’ journeys may be amazed at their earnings from the program. The reality may surprise you – it is significantly less than expected, reports the mirror.
Back in 2018, Chloe Patton shed light on their pay packages during a conversation with Digital Spy. While she stopped short of naming specific amounts, she revealed that the income would not even cover her monthly expenses, meaning they all still require regular employment.
“People think you get millions, I think why? Don’t put those thoughts into my head!” she explained. “You get paid, but it’s not life-changing money. You couldn’t go out and buy a house. It wouldn’t even pay the bills every month.”
Naturally, the spotlight from the show has fueled the cast members’ influencer and media efforts. Chloe, who boasts the largest Instagram following among the group with 474,000 devotees, continues to feature in podcasts and secure brand collaborations with companies such as Emma.
Viewers have been excited about the show’s comeback, although hearts were broken when favorite Sassi announced her departure after this series.
In an online statement, she shared: “I am eternally grateful to everyone who has supported me, watched me grow and stood by me through every high and low. This journey changed my life and I will always be proud to have shared it with you all.
“But now is the time for growth, peace, greater goals and a whole new era. Trust me… we’ve only just begun.”
One ass follower replied: “Ohhhh it won’t be the same without you, your authenticity is what made us love following your journey through all these seasons! You will be missed so much.”
Another chimed in: “Gonna miss you,” while a third observer noted: “Absolutely loved you from the start, as a young mom myself I relate so much to you girls and the journey you’ve been on.”
Teen Mom UK Series 13 is now streaming on Paramount+. New episodes are released weekly on Tuesdays.
