The latest EastEnders spoilers have revealed panic among some Walford residents.
EastEnders could be in line for Joel Marshall’s return, sending some of the site’s residents into a frenzy.
Played by Max Murray on BBC soap, Joel was last seen in January when his trial began following his violent attack on stepmother Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig).
The teenager left Vicki with a collapsed lung and a broken arm after she called him out for showing his schoolmates an explicit video and punching Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd). This ended up being the boiling point after months of him exhibiting misogynistic traits.
When Vicki and his father, Ross (Alex Walkinshaw), came face to face with Joel in court, he was so sure he would be found not guilty that he confidently told his father he wanted a takeaway later. He was later sentenced to six months in prison.
Avani Nandra Hart (Aaliyah James) was also left heartbroken by Joel, who filmed them having sex without her consent after she thought she could trust him.
After finding out she was expecting Joel’s baby, she opted for a termination, leaving the teenagers and their families at odds.
In next week’s scenes, Avani’s mother, Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy), is shaken when she hears that Joel will soon be released from the young offenders’ institution.
She tries to reassure Avani that Joel will be living elsewhere, but with newlyweds Ross and Vicki living in the Square, is Joel moving away from Walford?
While Vicki had previously told Ross that she would support what he wanted for Joel after his release, she said she did not want him back in her home.
He promised to fix things and find alternative ways of living. But will Ross really leave his only son, Joel, with nowhere to go?
Avani needs support and demands to see her father, Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara), at the psychiatric hospital and becomes suspicious when he refuses.
As fans of the BBC soap will know, Ravi broke up with Priya after a passionate moment, leaving her devastated.
Before leaving their family home, he told Priya, “How do I set you free and let you go so I can finish the healing without you.
“I’m so sorry—I thought you knew it was goodbye. I’m not cured, I’m not cured! You’ll be so much happier without me.”
EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday on BBC One and iPlayer
