The film received eight Oscar nominations and took home trophies for Best Adapted Screenplay, Editing and Score. Eisenberg was nominated for Best Actor at both the Golden Globes and the 2011 Academy Awards, though he failed to secure a win, losing both to Colin Firth for an outstanding performance in The King’s Speech.

Will there be a sequel to ‘The Social Network’?

The following month, Mike Madison and Jeremy Allen White was in talks to direct the sequel. However, they have not been formally cast in any role yet, per Deadline. What Jesse Eisenberg Has Said About A ‘Social Network’ Sequel?

The social accounting is not a direct sequel to the 2010 film, but it is a follow-up and an exploration of Wall Street Journal’s “The Facebook files” of Jeff Horowitz. The “Facebook Files” were a series of articles published in 2021 that revealed problems caused by the social media company.
