After her divorce from Jim Toth in 2023, Reese Witherspoon found love again with German financier Oliver Haarmann.
The couple initially sparked romance rumors in July 2024 when they were spotted hanging out together in New York City.
Two months later, Us Weekly confirmed that Haarmann, who is a minority co-owner of the NHL’s New York Islanders, and Witherspoon were official dating.
The couple apparently confirmed their ongoing romance in July 2025, when they were discovered spectacle in Saint-Tropez on a yacht, per pictures taken by TMZ. In June 2026, Witherspoon and Haarmann stepped out for a rare outing at the premiere of her Elle series — a prequel to the iconic Legally blonde film.
Before her romance with Haarmann, Witherspoon and Toth called it quits in March 2023 after 11 years of marriage.
“We have some personal news to share … It is with great care and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to separate,” Witherspoon and Toth shared in a joint Instagram statement. “We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and move forward with deep love, kindness and mutual respect for all that we have created together.”
Witherspoon and Toth share a son, Tennessee. Witherspoon also shares daughter Ava and son Deacon with her ex-husband Ryan Philippeto whom she was married from June 1999 to June 2008.

1. OIiver Haarmann is a German financier
Haarmann received his BA from Brown University before graduating with his MBA from Harvard Business School LinkedIn. He served as a partner at the global investment firm KKR from 1999 to 2010 before becoming a founding partner of Searchlight Capital Partners in London in 2010. Haarmann also served as a board member at Brown University, chairman of the board at IntoUniversity, an advisory board member at the Aspire Institute, and a board member at Artangel.
“Searchlight Capital is a private equity firm that we started about 10 years ago,” explained Haarmann “LSE Focal Point” podcast in December 2021. “Searchlight now manages close to $10 billion, mostly in private equity.”

In February 2024, New York Post reported that Haarmann had invested in the hockey team as a minority owner after being in talks for about 10 percent of the team in December 2023.

“As students, especially if we’re at LSE or Harvard Business School, we generally go into it as very analytical people. We have mathematical skills, we have good problem-solving skills,” Haarmaann explained. “You know the whole college experience is built around improving those analytical and problem-solving and communication skills. … The problem with them is actually you think about why things won’t work. … The real challenge is to say, ‘Why could something work and how could we make it work?'”
