Xbox Game Pass is already promoting some of the titles coming to the service in July, but with June 2026 only halfway done, there are still plenty of releases happening this month. And even if you don’t have a Game Pass membership, Xbox owners can grab a new RPG for free right now. However, this offer is only available for a limited time, so you need to act fast.
Seam Game Pass continues to announce 2026 Day-1 gamesthere are still a few deals that apply to all Xbox owners. That’s the case with a new RPG that’s free to play until June 22nd. The game technically went live yesterday, so you pretty much have a whole week to check it out before the offer expires.
As confirmed by PureXbox, Mishap Hunter is completely free to play on Xbox from June 15 to June 22, 2026. This is part of an open beta currently underway. To check out the game for yourself, head over to the Microsoft Store to download it Mishap Hunter for Xbox Series X/S and PC.
It’s worth noting that the open beta is also available on Steam and the PlayStation Store, but the dates remain the same. If you participate in the open beta for Mishap Hunterthen you can earn cosmetic rewards that carry over when the game officially releases. This is through special events that run during the open beta period. However, to claim the rewards throughout the game, you must use the same account.
Mishap Hunter (the trailer can be seen above) is an extraction action RPG with a dark fantasy setting. Set in the world of Weavereach, the game focuses on specialists called Gold Hunters who must defeat horrible monsters or rival Gold Hunters for loot. The game can be played solo or with up to two companions. The catch is that if you die, you lose everything, so you’ll have to get to certain extraction points and ring a bell to avoid failing.
It’s an exciting premise, and Mishap Hunter will be fully launched on July 29, 2026. Although this is not a typical form of Free Play Days dealThe RPG is only playable in its current state until June 22, so if you want to check it out for free early, you have a little less than a week left to do so.
