Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce is allegedly getting married at Madison Square Garden on July 3rd, but is that really the case? The wedding venue, while iconic and perfect for the whole security thing, might seem a bit too flashy and too much of a spectacle for this couple! Or if you’re a hater, “garbage”. But is it all a ruse to keep genuine plans under wraps? Sources now say yes!
According to DailyMail.com on Thursday, the Madison Square Garden reports are all a “distraction plot” to keep the actual wedding location a secret! Sources claim that Taylor and Travis are getting married in a small, intimate ceremony with their close family and friends — not 1,000 people, despite previous claims — at a private location somewhere else! An insider explained:
“Taylor’s official wedding will not have 1,000 guests. A private and very secure ceremony is planned for her immediate family and friends. Guests at the wider party have been encouraged to donate gifts to charity, but her actual wedding will be a small, intimate gathering.”

That said, they use the arena on the big day! The source said that “there is something (else) associated with MSG” – but they don’t know exactly what! Guests suspect that Taylor and Travis have locked down Madison Square Garden security screening purposes before they are driven off to the top-secret wedding venue. Another insider noted:
“QR codes will be sent to guests. The only instructions they have is to arrive at MSG on July 3. The codes haven’t gone out yet. Many guests think this may be a security screening to (then) go elsewhere because MSG is equipped for that with their facial recognition, etc. But something involving the wedding is put there.”
Where will the guest go after MSG? You’d think somewhere else in town, right? But apparently not! New York is also reportedly meant to be a “distraction,” and the actual venue could be Taylor’s Rhode Island mansion:
“The strong rumor is that the location will be in New York. But according to one of the few people the couple is believed to have shared their New York wedding secret with, it’s a distraction. They’ve been tossing around tons of options since getting engaged last August. They came up with some great destination spots, but decided their privacy could be easily invaded. In the end, they decided the only place that will guarantee them is the best, which is the ‘Swift’ mansion at a clifftop).”

The case, however, is the Westerly Police Department’s chief Paul Gingerella told TMZ last week that the police and the city have not been involved or notified of a wedding for the couple this summer! Given how famous Taylor and Travis are, they would have been warned in advance, especially to help with the security of the city (and avoid what happened to fans when the pop star attended Jack Antonoffs wedding). So unless the police chief pulls a Tay Tay and tries to steer people off the right track if local law enforcement is dubious about the plans, it seems unlikely that her home in Rhode Island is the place! But who knows!
Another source added that Taylor and Travis are indeed planning to celebrate their nuptials all over the place, including Rhode Island and New York, over the next few weeks:
“Rhode Island is not completely out of the picture. Before Travis returns to his NFL commitments, they are also looking to treat the entire weekend (July 4) and the weeks leading up to the end of July as a continuous celebration and want to have some more intimate gatherings with close family in New York and Rhode Island and of course Kansas City. She wants a very unique wedding tour that they want to have a very unusual experience. she has done before – a unique event that reflects her style and vision on a way that only Taylor can do it.”
In the end, no matter where they get excited, everyone can “expect a massive party” from them! Guests should get ready for lots of dancing, drinking and more until the early hours of the morning! Another insider noted:
“Travis and Taylor enjoy having cocktails and dancing and having fun, so everyone is expecting a late night party into the wee hours of the morning. They are both big social drinkers. A lot of people are expecting some special secret performances with Taylor herself taking the mic, but no one knows, and since everyone has signed NDAs, people are keeping quiet. But they really want to keep things between them and are looking forward to it..”
Hmm… maybe MSG will be the venue for the reception! It wouldn’t be surprising if big stars came out to perform. That would make sense for MSG!
