M&S’s £46 wedge sandals, designer and shoppers say they’re comfortable enough to be worn ‘all day’

There’s nothing like a fabulous pair of sandals to elevate your summer wardrobe, especially when they’re stylish enough to rival a designer pair without the expense. And that’s exactly why Marks and Spencer shoppers have been fighting to get their hands on Wedge sandals with ankle strap just in time for the next heat wave.

With the perfect shape and style to ensure maximum comfort while still looking elegant, the wedge sandals are perfect for holidays, weddings and garden parties thanks to their timeless design. Despite their affordable price of £46, the wedge bears a striking resemblance to Legend sandals from Hermès, which cost a much more expensive £830.

M&S Ankle strap with wedge sandals was inspired by traditional espadrilles with a woven jute wedge heel that gives them an unmistakable summer feel. The wedge heel and platform toe also make them easier to walk around on any surface, with less pain, wobble or worries about your heel sinking into the grass.

They feature a leather-effect sandal upper with an adjustable ankle strap secured with a buckle. The straps are also finished with contrast stitching, along with cut-out details reminiscent of the Hermès version.

These sandals have proved hugely popular with M&S customers, with one happy buyer sharing: “Lovely sandals, stylish and comfortable! I’m wearing them to my grandchildren’s christening.”
